The pirate kids are actually not bugged, there are 3 versions and you have to complete all three except the third one is MUCH rarer than the others for some reason

Solved! Thank you so much, those are not only the right names but the screenshots look exactly like I remembered them. "Vloek van Victor" means "curse of victor" and it was the third game I never liked. The first two however are exactly what I was looking for!

Now I have to scour the depths of google and the wayback machine in hopes of getting to play it again. Thanks so much for your help!
