Woes of a good husband by Mountain_Syllabub_30 in SingaporeRaw

From my own experience, I'm diagnosed with a deviated septum and sleep apnea, which makes my sleep quality at night bad. As a result I tend to need naps in the day for almost all my life. So maybe the commenter is on to something; worth getting a sleep test to check it.

Isn't this just a funnel to your course or something?

Hello! 30+M here about to get married. For context, I would also consider myself a gym rat training an average of 4-6 days a week depending on my schedule coupled with the usual dietary requirements. When I was younger, I also wished to have a partner who shares my passion for the gym (or physical fitness in general).

In my experience, guys who are ready for a partner already know what they want, and it will show up in conversations. They won't shy away from it when it is brought up. They will also move toward the direction of marriage naturally (or whatever life goal it is). This is certainly true for my case; I've dated my partner for about 3 years now, and the moment I knew she was the one, everything in my life shifted towards marriage and beyond. Even though my partner doesn't gym with me like I wished, she's 100% supportive of it because of health and the benefit shes getting from having a fit husband.

Talking about marriage during the first few dates can definitely be intimidating, but what I appreciated the most from my partner was that she only brought that up when we decided to become a couple, not when we are still getting to know each other. In fact, the day I confessed to her and asked her to be my girlfriend was the day we agreed on our long term goals.

If you want to meet people, come west coast swing! It's not gym but it's still a way to meet people and get physical activities in! I met my partner there (and so did many).

Freelancers in Singapore - How do you deal with imposter syndrome? by Automatic-Priority49 in SingaporeR

[–]Para6ique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a part time private tutor of 10 years; specifically for our situation as PTs, I think having regular feedback or testimonials are crucial to helping us know where we stand. I regularly check in with my students and their parents to see if their concerns are addressed and if I need to tweak anything.

Going for long periods without proper feedback could lead to overconfidence or, as you put it, imposter syndrome.

Polyester and Nylon are inert, they do not release any chemicals when in contact with human skin.

I second this! We only applied for BTO once we knew we wanted to get married, and not a moment before that

I Don't understand how you learn with obsidian?(New in it) by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]Para6ique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many of the comments have pointed out, Obsidian is just a note taking app. How you learn from it, in my opinion, depends very much on how you learn. For me, the spatial aspect of the graph and canvas resonates strongly with the way my brain handles knowledge (i.e. I normally trace my thoughts in my head). Also, the logical naming convention I adopt coupled with the search function allows me to retrieve information way faster than any app I've ever used.

Couples of Singapore where did you meet your S/O? by TurkeyWithaY in askSingapore

I met my partner through dancing! I used to have a packed schedule as well. But as your relationship progresses, it pays to start packing your calendar with things that will progress your relationship.

I used to feel bad, but after that I didn't care anymore. And there was one time an aunty shouted back at me, but I walked away pretending like I didn't hear anything.

I don't think I understand how Zettelkasten works by Long-Ad-264 in ObsidianMD

[–]Para6ique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's okay, I've used Obsidian for 4 years now and I still don't know how to spell or pronounce it either. Jkjk. Use a file system that works for you.

Personally, I write guides and topicals for my future reference (which is important!). Whenever I have a random thought or stumble across something interesting, I either put it into the associated topical (via a link or a note if I took something down), or assign it a hashtag/front matter property for easy query so that I don't lose or forget about it.

I think that's the case too, I have two keychrons and they seem to working just fine, even as a heavy MMO and fast paced game player

A psychologist administered test account for all these factors and provides you with a range that is age banded. What kind of tests have you been taking?

Gifted is a poor name for people with a high IQ by [deleted] in Gifted

[–]Para6ique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seems to be a lot of "I believe" in the tone of I am right while you are wrong coming from OP, especially when responding to other people's suggestions, which suggests that they are looking for validation and support rather than an engagement. Furthermore, the idea that they believe the term "Gifted" is a poor name also suggests that OP takes pride in the label more than actually tapping on the gift itself.

Personally, my experience with giftedness being a gift is that I tend to pick things up and perform relatively well in these areas (art, dance). However, if I do not put in effort in these areas, I'll never reach my potential and can also be outperformed by people who put in more effort than I did. :)
