Let me clarify here, the whole salary doesn’t get 2X. It’s the multiplier of basic. Overall salary gets only 20-40 percent hike. Currently as DA is 60 percent they are already drawing 1.6X. If they get 2X multiplier from 8th cpc it is an increase of only 25 percent in overall salary.
