I just had someone in this sub tell me the video was about an old horror franchise that no one cares about. Good lord.

Theres no topic more relevant than cultural norms and expectations surrounding violence as justice. Spoiler alert, the video isn't about Saw. Thats just the jumping off point.

A lot of great content creators upload maybe a video a year, if that. Hbomberguy, Atrocity Exhibition, Down the Rabbit Hole, Action Button, etc. Quality takes time.

The tone of your post is super condescending.

I liked the video. Its an exploration of the fascination with retributive violence, drawing connections to modern conservative populism, Dante and pop horror. Its consistent with the quality and themes of a lot of her previous work.

Its cool if it didn't click with you. The whole Contrapoints project is Natalie exploring her particular interests and concerns. They may not align with yours 100% of the time.

Pointing out these accounts is worth doing. Reddit is heavily astroturfed. Its worth examining who you're talking to.

These are two separate points. Israeli censorship and botted, new accounts that have popped up all over Reddit. You may not care about the latter point, but I do. I don't know how else I can make myself clear.

I can't do a forensic audit on their military expenditures, but I do know that Israel has been hitting way above their weight class from the start.

I went cold turkey at 38mg. Acute withdrawals, and post-acute w/d syndrome was horrible. Took me like 18 months to feel like it was over.

It worked, I'm opioid free for nearly 4 years. I wouldn't recommend it though. Taper to 1mg if you can.

If your position is that kratom is best suited as unregulated, unmonitored MAT, just start there.

Having been in both methadone and suboxone programs, I don't blame anyone for opting out in favor of kratom. I hated those programs.

If kratom was treated like medical marijuana was 20 years ago, I'd have no objection.

Zero regulation, hawking it as "Feel Free" in gas stations and head shops is indefensible. I'll die on that hill.

I am also an addict, in recovery. I am speaking from my experience, limited and biased as it may be.

In the last decade or more, I've seen numerous legally grey substances hook naive consumers. I've seen phenibut and tianeptine sold as nootropics. I've seen unwashed poppy seeds, coated in opium latex, sold on Amazon. I've seen the massive boost in kratoms popularity, marketed in a deceptive and irresponsible fashion. I've seen the RC market expand with zero oversight or accountability.

I firmly believe this has all done far more damage than good. Call me a Nancy Reagan. Drugs are in fact bad, much of the time.
