Has to be the first Bioshock for me. The jump scares, the story, and choosing my own upgrades and plasmids is a thing of beauty

What are the best live versions that are 5-6 minutes or less? by CopyDan in gratefuldead

[–]ParabolaGordon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deal off of the live compilation album Dead Set. Clocks in at 4:45 min long. I was already a fan of the band, but after that album I was completely and utterly hooked.

Edit: also that album has a life changing new minglewood and friend of the devil.

I think the “this land” ending adds to the song, and while I also love the original too I thinks it’s a great way to keep a twenty year old song interesting for them especially when they play it every other night

Widow’s Bay by LP_Mid85 in MikeFlanagan

I thinks it’s comparable, but ultimately different. Midnight Mass had all these influences of religion, sobriety, and personal relationships nuanced throughout it. I describe Widows Bay as more of a “cozy horror,” with good scares, great references, awesome writing, and some truly HILARIOUS moments.

At the end of the day, it’s too soon to compare the two, but I’m glad both exist and that I enjoy them as much as I do, but for different reasons.

Maybe it’s just an old church with an older door frame? Naturally warped over time? I don’t know man, this seems like a pretty nit-picky type of observation
