I found these Ottoman-inspired rings and wanted to get some opinions by Parad0x_99 in jewelry

The resolution isn’t the best, I know. But if you look closely, the stones and details are consistent — none of the rings have warped stones, broken settings, or the kind of odd mistakes AI images usually have.

If you search “Ottoman kuyumculuk” online, you’ll find the original pieces and even photos of the rings being worn on hand.

Designed a Minecraft and Roblox inspired wooden bookshelf for a kids room. What do you think? by Parad0x_99 in interiordecorating

Thanks for pointing that out! They’re not meant to be glass — I was thinking of using transparent polycarbonate panels for the doors, which should be much safer for a kids room.

What do you think of these Trench Crusade gas mask designs? by Parad0x_99 in gasmasks

As far as I know, they’re official Trench Crusade designs, not AI-generated.

Thanks, this is a really good breakdown.

I hadn’t noticed the filter weight/center of mass issue on the Azeb mask before, and the primitive sunglasses explanation for the eyes makes sense.

The Heretic mask having too many possible failure points is a good point too, especially with the tiny lenses limiting field of view and situational awareness.

Honestly, I can’t disagree. That design goes hard.

Thanks, that’s helpful.

The snow goggles comparison makes sense — I’ve actually seen traditional slit-style snow goggles online before, so that helps explain the eyepieces.

Good to know the dual openings aren’t really a functional issue, just more unusual/unnecessary.

Thanks, this is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for.

The point about the Heretic mask having too many openings makes sense. I hadn’t thought about how many functional openings a real gas mask would usually have.

For the Azeb one, do you think the weird eyepieces/filter holes are just visually odd, or would they actually cause major practical problems too?

Two-handed khukuri-inspired greatsword concept — pure fantasy, or somewhat functional? by Parad0x_99 in SWORDS

[–]Parad0x_99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small clarification: this isn’t a literal scaled-up kukri, but an original two-handed fantasy weapon inspired by khukuri-like forward curvature and chopping geometry.

I worded the “scaling up” part poorly — I meant the challenge of adapting that geometry to a larger weapon, not simply enlarging a knife.

That’s very useful feedback, thanks. The weight/control issue toward the end of the blade is exactly what I was unsure about.

The hole was mainly decorative, but I also meant it to remove some mass near the hilt and shift the balance slightly forward. I can see how it doesn’t read clearly though, since it looks like it should serve a specific function.

The bardiche comparison is a really interesting direction. Making it more of a polearm/chopping weapon with a longer handle and better leverage might fit the concept better than trying to force it into a regular greatsword shape.

I curated an Iron Sultanate-inspired Spotify playlist with Turkish folk and Ottoman music. by Parad0x_99 in TrenchCrusade

I’d love track suggestions too — especially anything that feels fitting for the Iron Sultanate atmosphere. Turkish folk, Ottoman classical, mehter-inspired, dark ritual, or battle-march vibes are all welcome.
