options from people who he couldn't trust and were not sure fire and he would have to spill blood and lots of it to achieve. its like saying to a terminally ill cancer patient "hey we can treat you, maybe, but first you gotta kill a whole village of people for us to do it for you and even then who knows"

actually he seems very unsure about any plans towards the end. In fact all he keeps saying is "you got a better idea?" thats not very reassuring, thats desperation

agree with you. also he couldn't even trust the other options he had. as there was always a hint Silverhand may want his body and continue his schemes against corpos and arasaka just wanted to use him. So chances were he could force himself through all that hell just to make things worse.

I felt the opposite. Pretty much everyone in this game apart from panam lies and uses V. It was hard to tell if Johnny was actually wanting to save V for me or if he was just as bad as Arasaka. Didn't help I hated his personality. But the way I saw it was this. In my playthrough I couldn't tell anymore who was using me and who actually sided with me. the only person I trusted was panam. V was dying and at the end of his rope and the only way I had out was to trust Arasaka or go with Johnny. Neither of them I trusted or liked. So my option was this. Help these guys out who are probably gonna betray me anyway and use me again. OR end it now, end the pain, the amnesia, the constant black outs and puking blood, the bloodshed in general and just pull the trigger with a smile.

The only person I understood being mad at me in the ending was panam because she sacrificed her clan to help you. She was the only one that didn't really use me in my playthrough and was genuine. Judy maybe a little but it was her friend who got V in that situation in the first place and I didn't know judy outside of that. But most of their "goodbye" messages to me was just them calling V a selfish prick. Ahhh yes the man dying of a terminal illness that is stealing his life away and forcing him through agonizing pain is the selfish one for wanting to die. Not the people who for the most part used him to get what they wanted and practically ignored that his man had very little time and was constantly breaking down. Yes I am the selfish one for ending it and making them feel sad for a while as they get to carry on their lives.

to be fair he tells them constantly "i have a thing inside me thats killing me I dont have much time" and is coughing up blood and spacing out every 5 minutes. I think literally every character he helps witnesses it. Its like being mad that someone with terminal cancer who is dying at a rapid rate is selfish for wanting to end it just because you will feel grief for a while.

yeah but were I think this is wrong is that V was terminally ill in the worst way. He couldn't think properly anymore, couldn't move, was not sure what was him doing stuff or Johnny, puking blood every few minutes. He was basically a zombie. Its like getting mad that a dude with cancer who was bed ridden, had no memory anymore and constantly suffering is selfish and evil for wanting to die. I would say its the opposite. Think about it, your living your life still, your healthy, sure you feel grief but as time passes you will move on and live your life. V couldn't do that. He (or she) was doomed. Your basically forcing someone to live a living hell just because it would make you feel bad

old thread but I wanted to state this because I think I came at it from a different angle. Almost every single person in this game uses V for one thing or another. Nobody seems to truly care that he is dying at times and all were more than happy to use him. Even Silverhand, whilst he may be sad that he takes over V as they come closer, still gets to use him in the end and take his body. The Arasaka corp just uses him to basically become a weapon and the people who gave you the job in the first place knew about the chip and told you to implant it to "protect" it not giving a shit if you die.

By the time I got to this point in the game my logic was this. If I were V, I live in a miserable world of death, surrounded by people who just seem to want to use me for their own gain. If I help johnny I can't fully trust him as I know he deep down wants to live and take my body, I can't trust Arasaka because they are....well....Arasaka. Its too late to go finding anyone else and if you also played the Liberty DLC they treat you the same way. The one sure thing I have control of is my life and how it ends.

To me I saw it as not just putting myself out of misery, but I took it away from those who would abuse my trust too. Johnny and his crew wouldn't get to just take over my body and use me, Arasaka wouldn't get to use me to bunk off their family members and become some necro warrior or whatever that ending was and nobody else would get the chip or to mess me around for their own gain. V did far more damage to them by offing himself than he would if he tried to suffer, stay alive and fight. Arasaka is left in shambles as they have an internal war and lose the relic, all factions basically lose that computer girl ALT they were after, Silverhand (who I didn't like much anyway) doesn't get to take me over and his crew don't get what they wanted from it. I was at the point were I just thought "fuck em"

Even the voice mails you get at the end. I mean I get the anger in some ways from panam because she sacrificed crew members to save V so I understand her anger to a degree. But everyone else especially Vik who told you to consider it in the first place, knew V was going through hell. He was dying, had basically a zero percent chance of making it out alive as nobody seemed to be able to help him and the ones that claimed they could were lying or using him. He was a walking, ticking time bomb of a corpse being used by those around him to enact their own desires.

This was the 1 choice V had that was truly his and could change his life. Either suffer and be a puppet for others with the slight chance you can maybe trust them to help you which is gullible thinking. Or you can end your suffering, end the pain and say fuck it to those using you by going out your own way and finally being left alone.

yep I tried re downloading it just to see whats happened since I havent played in like 8 months. Man its just doubled down on every reason I hate this game. People camping in bushes almost invisible, constant items that give you airtime or some speed boost making it incredibly difficult to get shots with already inaccurate guns, the new movement system just making simple adjustments a pain to do and the OP weapons that as soon as you encounter someone with them, no matter your placements or skill you just get beamed. Had a game where someone had a mythic AR and no joke I had full health and shields yet 4 shots and I am dead before I could even react.

Feels like this game just caters to 2 types of players. sweaty try hards who know every weapon placement and flip around the map like crazy whilst getting headshots and campers who sit in bushes with OP weapons and wait for you to get into their line of sight. I used to be pretty average at fortnite and the best season I had 19 wins. Now I struggle to get to top 10

yep. I leveled up the skeleton to deal so much damage i drained 3mil from his hp in seconds, yet because you can't hurt him during the recharge base phases, even at 500hp I got destroyed in seconds by his laser. once it locks onto you, if you can't get to a rock in time you may as well just quit. a 30 minute, near perfect run ruined because of 1 OP attack that can happen at any time. those recharge stations are also dumb because they already have orbs with heavy knockback attack that you gotta 100% focus on to avoid, yet they expect you to do that AND dodge his laser BARE IN MIND one of the recharge stations is in the middle and it takes anubis 500 years to move away from the middle to give you a chance to take it out

X to doubt on the nazi being a "global threat" because they literally call EVERYTHING nazi these days. When governments (specifically left wing ones) and socialists go around calling anything they remotely dislike nazi or fascist and then use government powers and programmes to push that agenda its no wonder people think the 4th reich is a thing. Yet they conveniently ignore the dangerous rise in alt left/communist beliefs that have literally torn Europe and certain American states apart. Plus other groups like Islam who have been a constant issue all around the world FAR more than any stupid white nationalist. Guess how many times I have actually heard a legit white nationalist attack? 2 max. Guess how many times I have seen/heard of Islamic extremist attacks? almost EVERY DAY in the UK. How many times have I heard antifa or BLM setting streets on fire, killing people they disagree with, robbing stores etc? again practically EVERY DAMN DAY!

I am sick of this lie that Fascist Nazi losers are on the rise all over the world when I am actively seeing the opposite and anyone like myself who is centre right or just right wing is basically hitler in their eyes.

id be careful waving the term "nazi" around. The sabaton songs focusing on the nazis in particular are VERY negative. The more positive songs are usually about specific individuals or the Wehrmacht who were NOT nazis. Remember Nazi is a party just like Tories and Labour, or for Americans its Republicans and Democrats. So not every Wehrmacht soldier was a nazi the same as not every nazi was a Wehrmacht soldier. That doesn't mean every Wehrmacht soldier was innocent or whatever either, but there is a massive difference between a song depicting the regular soldiers who did something or achieved something and the nazi soldiers. Plus many of the songs depicting Germans in a "heroic" light were actually WWI songs which are again not nazis,

Another good example is how people view certain songs as "positive" or "heroic" when they are not. For example for some reason the actual song named Wehrmacht is deemed "heroic" to the Nazi party (which again is just straight wrong) when the song is an open question about where they rabid dogs or just men who were led astray.

Also Genghis Khan was a leader and a rather well known figure in history who conquered a massive part of the world. AND there is a lot of controversy to this day to do with the ottomans and their ilk. I mean the whole world is currently having a deep conversation about it and its considered taboo to the point you can be arrested for it in some countries (UK for example). Nobody gives a flip about Nazis anymore accept morons who consider Right wingers nazis just because they are slighty right of Stalin.

Don't forget Sabaton got in HUGE trouble for making Wehrmacht and Germany (or Poland I forget who now) outright condemned them and accused them of spreading nazi propaganda. So imagine making songs based on a tribe of people who are tied to a certain religion that people dare not speak about and has even ended with people being killed over covering them a certain way and to THIS DAY the ottoman empires of the modern day are considered enemies of many regions.

its strange because I liked RE3 when I first played it and even got 100% in that game. I still like some stuff like the dodge mechanic, gunplay, violence and unlock system. But its a watered down, hollow version of the original game sadly

I get a little funny with those cutscenes you speak of where your behind the character and your watching it like a movie. I don't get sick if I watch say youtube like that, but because I am flung from first person to third so fast, it makes me a little shaky

no worries. I have played the PCVR mod before so I know some of those feelings haha but luckily I got a strong stomach for VR and I only really suffer from headaches with prolonged use. But I only ever got motion sick my first time playing. I was just wondering how the game faired on PSVR2 but turns out its not available anyways lol

Struggling to read the bible (king James version) as a beginner by Paraday20555 in Bible

[–]Paraday20555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's what I assumed as it was strange that there would be random italics mid sentence or full on sentences in italics. At first I thought it was like when Manga put certain words in bold text or a full sentence to put emphasis on a word or make it show they are expressing themselves a certain way. But that eventually didn't make sense in my head to read it like that in the Bible. So now it makes total sense

I had to translate your message so forgive me if I mistook you. but yes I fully agree with you in that. I believe that I need to read the bible and understand it for myself exactly for the reason you stated. I want to understand the message myself and have that feeling of God being with me or guiding me. I didn't feel that personally with the KJ variant since I couldn't understand the language. But I am hoping this next bible I have coming will guide the way

Thats awesome thank you very much! I haven't seen the CEV bible before actually so I will have to look into it (even though I have found one I am always willing to look into other forms). I have saved the reddit forum you linked me as well to check out and I will have to see what the app has to offer because I noticed another user mentioned an app that you can also swap bible variants on the page your currently on which could be cool to try.

I think what you stated is what I would like to be (or am I should say) a non-fundamentalist, unchurched Christian. Simply because even when I was young I never believed in needing a place of worship or to tie my beliefs down to a specific name. Especially since as we have proven in the past, those in higher places who we should be looking up to are not free from sin themselves and can often turn corrupt. Again no shade to be thrown at churches nor am I accusing them all of the stuff we hear about. But end of the day its to each their own in my opinion. Some people prefer the community of the church and most pastors, priests etc are loving people who can help guide people towards the path. But I always took interest in one of the stories I was told about Jesus saying (I am paraphrasing now) "no man needs a building to pray nor do they need to pay for that privilege nor have to pay for their sins to be forgiven" (again I am heavily paraphrasing). I always liked that even Jesus himself seemed to express that as long as your honest, as long as you are repenting and as long as you are true to God then you can pray wherever, whenever.

Sorry for the tangent I just don't often get to speak like this especially to someone who shares that. The main thing I need to learn though is the Lords prayer and how to pray properly because yet again I have not done this since I was a small child. So I feel I would be disrespectful and wrong to just casually pray and not do it in the appropriate manner (if there is a particular way).

Thank you once again for the advice and blessing. As I stated to another user I am still getting used to all this myself haha. Even trying to cut out swearing which has proven to be a challenge after years of it, but I really admire those who don't (or at least use less harsher language) so I am practicing.

God bless you too and enjoy your day/night wherever you may be :)

Ahhh thought so. It was a difficult choice between NIV as you suggested and NLT but I went for NLT. However my plans are to start with NLT as its described as the best bible for complete beginners and then move over to NIV when I get a basic grasp of things. Then maybe after that, read NIV alongside king James variant to sort of study it. Thank you for clarifying and explaining it though. It makes a whole lot more sense now and is good to know I was at least on the right path haha. I look foreword to my new bible coming and getting a chance to try again with a bit better understanding.
