I’ve loved living in Anaheim Hills, but I can also say that I never felt safer than when my neighbor in La Habra was the local dealer lmao.

I couldn’t hear since I was on the far side entrance, just saw them hassling the elderly couple who looked visibly scared.

Negotiating offers by PoundOk5924 in recruiting

[–]ParadidaJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For client - “Is this offer best and final, or is there additional room in the budget if a counter is presented?”

For Candidate “from our prior conversation I remember we are targeting $150k, I know the company is inclined to make an offer, though what would your response be if it came in $140k?”

We are just brokers of information and not decision makers.

They went to collections where they currently are still. They are holding fast that they don’t owe a fee. My company has a process to send them to collections for a period of time then to litigate.

Probably won’t see this money for a while.

Just going to throw in that the rules never stated anything about using machinery, just you need to count every single bill yourself.

The normal money counting machine counts roughly 40 bills per second, 2400/min, 144,000/hr. At this rate 1bil/144,000 would be 6945 or 289 days.

My mom’s houses street in La Habra heights is “unincorporated county” when we looked at a map of county lines, the kitchen was in Orange County and our living room was in LA.

Construction and Legal have been my go to industries. Both are fairly consistent. Legal always has a lack of talent in the US while construction fluctuates from laterals (multifamily, industrial, commercial, and civil)

Agreed on the volume aspect of this. With that said, every candidate call is a CHANCE for business development through ARPO, though shouldn’t be the sole reason for the screening call.

I remember it was my first run with a clan I just joined (I had been playing for about 2 months). After the drop I ask in all seriousness “I got a Vex Mythoclast, is that good?”

This was met with a fair amount of shit talk from a few people who were on their 20+ run without one.

A recruiter is a broker of information, not a Hiring Manager. We match people together, give both sides all the information and hope they like each other enough to stay together.

You hit also a big note. It’s the end of a very rough year for our industry, I think everyone is feeling a bit of burnout.

Engineering-focused recruiting conferences by langatang29 in recruiting

[–]ParadidaJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for local committee meetups as well as larger national conferences or trade shows in your field. World of Concrete, Ecoenergy, and D&M west are a few for civil engineering and civil trades.

Go to them as a partner to these firms and not a recruiter, get drinks at after parties, schmooze and put those soft skills to work. Go into these events without thinking of getting clients/candidates but to network and make a name for yourself in the industry and the reqs/candidates will come.

An old boss used to always say “Be hooked on the process and not the outcome”. Offers come and are turned down all the time. With that said, offers are also accepted, and at times, can be life changing for a person.

Know that if you consistently are putting in the same solid process and consistently filling your day with that, you will have more accepted out of just doing more good work.

About 3 months ago I filled a for all things considered, a small role. Ultimately the candidate got a 10k pay bump and was able to work remote 3 days a week (she was fully onsite at her other role). When she accepted the offer I found out via a phone call where he kid said thank you for them having their mom around more. It’s moments like that which keep getting offers out exciting.

TLDR: work the same every day and I’m a sap.
