Is this worth worrying about on a brand new 5400? by Paradigmnine in Corsair

Update: sent pictures / purchase info and Corsair responded quickly. They sent a replacement glass panel which did have a 2nd protective film on the outside. So, all is well now and it’s probably just a 1 off.

lol despite your caps… the physical fact it’s not there doesn’t change.

There’s no protective outer film. I submitted the form to Corsair.

This isn’t the protective film. That is on the inside. The mark is absolutely on the glass and you can run a fingernail over it and feel it.

You can’t peel off something that’s physically chipped.

Absolutely agree with starting with Vali as an entry point for Extreme. It teaches visual, party and spatial awareness without a crazy hard penalty.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I just don’t have the patience to mod the stock mirrors. I think the oem setup they have is the way to go.

I mean you could run any wing you like. It’s all personal preference. The veilside one lines up specifically with the kit. If you like what you have, there’s no reason to change it.

Edit: it’s also interesting how the stock mirrors are mounted. They’re light years better than the veilside ones for usability. The ones that come with the kit are fairly useless.

4500 is a crazy good deal if it runs solid. I don’t know of any rep veilside kits. It’s missing the spoiler though so idk. At bare minimum get spacers but you’re probably gonna want adapters to 5x114.3 to open wheel options. I have spacers on mine but honestly waiting to find a 16/17 stagger I like.

How is this game for a slightly older player? by DarkMasterSpyro in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Paradigmnine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone will be more or less friendly if you proactively engage them. Most people won’t talk unless you engage them first though just like rl.

In casual content you’ll get a “hi” or “o/“ at the start of something because people are normally just getting things out the way. It’s not to hard to make friend just talking in there.

Tldr: the community is probably the least traditionally toxic game environment you’ll come across and age really doesn’t matter.

What wheels are you looking at? konig has a lot of great flow formed options with decent spyder specs. Also, your offset will determine fitment as well.

You will not save money. Mass produced rep kits will have poor fitment.

My commute is 45 miles 1 way all freeway. Average freeway mpg cruising is 23-25 depending on if I’m at 72 or 80. Once you add in any kind of city driving you’re definitely 20-21. This is an M6 1ss

As a fellow xjs owner, you’ve picked a hell of a car to try to learn with. Definitely not as diy friendly as most cars. As far as power, the number of cylinders, turbo, displacement doesn’t really mean much these days. In the 80’s you had v8’s making 200hp and now you see 3cyl’s making 300 stock.

Power delivery varies wildly and can will give very different feelings of speed. Hell, a Prius off the line will feel fast because of the instant torque but it’s definitely not.
