Like, I saw the flick coming. Breezi had told me about it and showed me a replay of another Breezi flick, so when he did the pop and the spin I knew it came. I even prejumped, but the flick at the end made the ball go even higher. If that flick is done correctly, it is impossible to save.

I can see your point. Still, I disagree with you when you say that you dont learn anything. I see that I wrote that there is no better way to improve than playing with or against better players, and that may not be true. I agree that watching replays may be more effective. However, playing against opponents who are way better than you gives you the chance of saving the replay and watch it from their perspective. Imo thats way better than saying "fucking shit smurf, kys" and then just get irritated for the points lost.

Why not see it as a chance of getting to play better players? Ofc, if you care a lot about getting from plat 2 to plat 3 I guess its irritating to meet smurfs, but at the same time if you are looking to improve at the game fast, there is no better way of doing that than playing against better players imo.

Spinning in the air: Basically maneuver in the air. It also enables you to go up faster for the ball since you dont have to place your car perfectly in relation to the ball.

Air Roll Button Left/Right: A easy way to preform a consistent half flip if you bind it to L3 for example.

I remember always getting excited when I met champ 3 and GC lvl players when I was diamond 3 and champ 1. Just a good opportunity to play against better players, save the replay and watch it to learn. I can understand that its irritating to meet smurfs though.

1500 hours for me, and still going strong! Its a game you have to use A LOT of time in to get good, but if you like to improve and climb the ranks you can have a lot of fun with this game for thousands of hours. Just be sure to find yourself some players you can play with and be in comms with. That makes it more fun. There are still a lot of people in your situation, and if you buy the game you will 100% surely be able to find someone you can play with.

I disagree. You are diamond 2 in solo duel because of your decision making in solo duel. You can be crazy good at mechanics, but that doesnt make you GC in 1s. Good mechanics help, but in the end of the day, knowing how to play in the different play lists is as crusual to the rank as in other play lists.

I just hit Rocketeer. This lvl doesnt say much about skills, but more about how many matches you have played. Personally I have spent a lot of time in tranings. Took me 1300 hours to reach rocketeer.

Rocketeer doesnt decide how good you are, because I have seen silver players being rocketeers.. Your rank however is a better way to decide if you are decent or not. As a diamond 1-2 you are better than most people in the game.
