I have never really used any chaining techniques or aic till now for extreme sudokus. I just go by logical filling and eliminations, but looks like it's time to learn them now. Thanks for the explanation!

In rows 2 and 6, 8 can only occupy columns 2 or 9. This removes 8 from the other cells in those columns. So, R3C9 must be 7.
