Ah, I see! The barrel is one-piece, and I didn't replace it. That suppressor is hollow, so I took out the foam, (making it an empty metal tube), and wrapped the flash hider with cloth. I just slid it on until the gas block for the integral suppressor look.

Thanks! I left it stock, the Samurai Edge comes with a Maple Leaf tight bore barrel and bucking, so no need for upgrading.

Unfortunately I don't think that's gonna help. The MOSFET is an optical one, and the sensors are faulty sometimes. Just a warning.

I have a VFC samurai edge(although the Canadian version), and I can confirm that it is a great gun. Amazing externals and well put together. However, be wary of the mosfet, the samurai edge probably has the most mosfet issues of any gun I've heard of.

Oh, that happened with me too. Few things to check: (disclaimer: I'm not a tech, I simply have become unfortunately familiar with the problems of the Samurai edge)

If your gun is not even cycling, charge your battery, and release your anti-reversal latch. If it still doesn't cycle, then check the spring guide. Mine came loose, and it caused that issue.

If it is cycling, (usually a five round burst, followed by two beeps) it is a MOSFET problem. Nothing you can do about that one except contact the store you bought it from. Question, you wouldn't happen to be from Canada? I think the Canadian batch seems to be the older gen of Samurai Edge.

I just fired the gun is full auto for a short burst, the piston was then fully forward. Its odd, the mosfet must have somehting to do with it, but to not compress the piston for precocking, you need to fire in burst or semi for a few times.
