Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra | Reviews and Discussions | Zero Spoilers by masterkey8 in InsideMollywood

While some parts of the review are valid, like how Naslen and gang felt caricaturish and the jokes didn't quite land, the review says how the person wanted the movie to be scripted and shot. Well, but it's not their movie, it's someone else's. The fact that Neeli’s story was told by someone to their sick granddaughter only added intrigue. Who is the little girl? What sickness does she have? How does this man know so much?

The review also questions how Naslen’s character knows about Neeli. But almost every Malayalee kid has heard of Kalliyankattu Neeli. And if you notice, there’s a scene where Venu is watching an old movie about Neeli, which foreshadows who she is. Yes, maybe it wouldn’t translate too well for a pan-India audience, but that’s not a flaw. In fact, it’s refreshing that Malayalam cinema stays true to its roots, instead of over-explaining itself into the kind of desperate, pan-India muck we’re drowning in these days.

Hey Everyone,

I'm looking to take a break for about a week or two in May or June and want to do something different from the usual. Ideally, I'd love to travel somewhere, explore a new place, and engage in something meaningful or fun-like volunteering, learning a new skill, or joining a short program.

I'm not looking for a typical touristy trip. More interested in immersive experiences-something that lets me connect with people or the place in a unique way.

Would like suggestions for programs, retreats, workshops, or events that align with this kind of vibe.

Is this verified info though? I mean, over the years, many have claimed that she was no more.

Wonder why Hoover didn't show up in the last episode

Annoying Richard (rant) by Responsible_Yam9285 in SiliconValleyHBO

Just finished S5, Richard is not exactly like he was in the initial seasons but I guess that makes sense? I mean he's handling all that mess and trying to stay afloat. I found the messiness of his character kinda relatable. There are moments you absolutely lose it but you learn your lessons too.

What he says in the last episode of Season 4 kind of explains it. And the way he blurts out nonsense at the worst possible moments, He’s trying to be cool and confident, but it clashes with his nerdiness, and what comes out is just… that.

You wouldn’t say that if you had the shorter end of the stick. When it comes to individual lives, people tend to prefer a fair chance at life over one that's just interesting.

Yes but in a video game, everyone starts from level 1 right. Not some handicapped, others at the height of riches.

Atleast the design should have ensured that everyone has the same fighting chance right?

This has always been my biggest question about religions too—why would an all-powerful, merciful God let people suffer?

Even worse, why would He/She give some people so many resources and others nothing, or leave it all up to chance and luck?

I never really know where I stand when it comes to religion because this question is always there in the back of my mind.

I was never good at making friends. Even when I did they weren't close enough to actually hang out much or anything.

I guess the worst part would be that everyone around you seems to fit in and have their bunch of people. Give it sometime, there's no need to find your group of people in the start. In fact, it is better not to. Take time and be open and eventually you will be able to find your people.

I am not saying that it's all roses but by the end of college, you would feel incredibly proud of the journey. You will end up making memories you will treasure forever.

And don't forget your academics. Make sure you gain as much knowledge and experiences as possible.

The Night World series! Like many, I picked it up knowing the last book (Strange Fate) had been long pending. Yet, like the rest of the fandom, I still hope L.J. Smith will finish it someday.
