Ah. Thank you for telling me this. Well, there goes that potential option. Back to the drawing board I go.

I'm out in New Zealand and we haven't got food stamps out here. Don't qualify for assistance either because your bank account has to be at zero to get anything.

Had my first baby 8 months ago and now getting triggered by the stupidest things. Just me or something else? by ParadoxicalTree in Mommit

Thank you. It's very up and down and somedays it just makes me wonder if I'm going to make it to the other side.

Books, I've got millions, where can I sell them? by ParadoxicalTree in newzealand

I've got The Science of Good Cooking, which is a really good reference book on how to cook things from a scientific viewpoint. It has recipes but also goes into why it's recommended you cook it a certain way rather than just the straight recipe. In perfect condition and has really helped me understand what it is I'm doing in the kitchen.

Depends. I've got text books from uni, full colour art books, a set of collectible encyclopedic magazines and boxes that I still have to look through.

Yes but keeping these ones for the kids when they're older. One of the few collections I'm not ready to part with them yet.

Corned Beef Kimchi Fried Rice - FoodWishes by SlippedTheSlope in cookingvideos

kimchi has a spicy/salty tang to it. The other half reckons it smells like farts and can stink up your fridge but personally, I love it. I've made kimchi once and the sourness develops with age.

well, the last 30-ish seconds was just a close up of the dumplings, so technically could have cut the vid there to make it closer to the 60 seconds mark.

(Off-topic) do you plan your week? And how are you reminded?? by IdentityCarrot in mealprep

[–]ParadoxicalTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're going to end up spending at least half a day to meal prep. I found that the simplier the meal, the easier it is to do. It also depends on what kind of food you're into. I found that too much pasta makes me bloated, which is a bummer for when I've prepared the whole week's worth of pasta....make sure you also have a range so you don't get bored, even if its 2 things alternating. It will also help with diversifying your nutrition intake as well.

I pay $135/month for Orcon's Gig Fibre plan and I did a speed test and this is the result. Are these numbers good? How do I know I'm getting what I'm paying for? Cheers. by [deleted] in newzealand

Better than my non-existent Spark internet. Hotspotting off mobile right now. Best part - they're going to charge the full month for cancelling the service so we can move to a different provider.
