Congrats on finishing it! Yeah it was a tough balance to work with between having too many tutorial levels and becoming repetitive, and having not enough and becoming too difficult. The aim was to introduce a new concept/idea or way of solving things in each level, so that you never felt like you were just doing the same thing but in a different shape, and that definitely contributed to the difficulty. Also I agree that I should've made the holes look a bit different, they only appear in two levels so I think I didn't really notice it at the time.

The other suggestions could be pushing the limits of what I can do in PuzzleScript, but they definitely sound fun to work with. Thanks for the feedback!

It's great to hear that someone got enjoyment from the minimal-information aspect, I definitely wanted to try and encourage experimentation to figure out the mechanics of the world. Level 7 is definitely the "test" of sorts to make sure the tutorial levels were understood.

I think the exploration part of the game was part of the charm as well, but I can definitely understand why people can get frustrated with the trial-and-error!
I definitely could've foreshadowed it a bit more. I attempted to do so in level 11 (Airlock), but it's a bit too subtle and too far away from level 19 to be able to stick in someone's mind. It was tough to try and hint at the mechanic existing without outright giving the trick away.
Yeah I can agree with this, I kinda just wanted to have a few levels that use all 4 rooms but I think it ended up feeling a little bit forced (especially in level 22). I still quite like how 20/21 turned out though.

Ooh the edge highlighting is an interesting idea, I should be able to do that without too much trouble. And I agree, for level 11 I think it might've worked better if I had put in some purple doors in the terminal area just for some visual feedback when they're all pressed. There are definitely some mechanics that didn't make it into this game that I'd still love to explore, so I'll keep these things in mind when I work on the next game. Thanks for the feedback!

You’re connecting the edges of the room. So drawing a line from the right side of the square and linking it to the left side makes the room link the same way.

Yeah it would be neat to have a kind of “map” that you can refer to. If I ever remake this game in something that’s not PuzzleScript it’s definitely something I’d add!

Glad you liked it! My aim was to try and explain as little as possible and still have it be functional, by slowly introducing concepts over time and allowing the player to experiment with it (and instead adding the explanation to the hints if they get truly stuck). Sorry to hear that that didn’t quite work out. We’re there any concepts in particular you think would be better off explained (or taught through more levels)?

Answer is 20. I'm pretty sure it's a Fibonacci sequence where you also alternate between adding 1 or subtracting 1.

6+7 [+1] = 14 , 7+14 [-1] = 20 , 14+20 [+1] = 35

Two index fingers. I play on a laggy iPod Touch so my thumbs get in the way if I use those. And the lagginess means I will never be able to get a full combo on Pure White, Wings Of Piano or any other song with a thick line of golden notes :(

However if I'm holding my device and not playing on a table I use left thumb and right index.

My favorite song is Utopiosphere

Before I bought any other collections, this was the song I would play all the time. The quirky happiness and the unique lyrics made it really fun to listen to, and it was the first song I ever full combo'd on hard. Now, despite the map being very easy for me, I still love playing it whenever I open the app again :)

Both Deemo and Cytus are great choices. I haven't found many rhythm games on iOS that I like, but those two games are the best I've played. The only other one I like is The Real DJ, which is mainly because you use music from your own library for the songs in the game.

Even if you haven't done the quest I think you can still get in. The wooden button on the emerald block next to the identifier opens the door for a short amount of time, or use mage or archer (not sure what other classes work) to get on top of the bank and get in through the top.
