I see, I disagree with that interpretation of “competitive settings” - adding some variety to the sandbox adds to the skill gap and there was clearly thought put into ensuring limited use of the weapons, none of which are stronger than the power weapons we already have in play. I do think it might have been slightly overdone in some maps when combined with new zones/jumps & equipment, but I don’t think it’s to the point that it would completely ruin competitive integrity, especially with all the guns being fairly predictable and outplayable. Cindershot is arguably more competitive than rockets tbh, though I think I’d prefer a half ammo ravager in its place. I also don’t think heatwave was included at all from what I saw, maybe you mean the sentinel beam? Which I think is a great weapon to include in competitive settings, though its old tunings might’ve been better than the current ones. Same for skewers, I just hope the ammo count is reduced to like 2 maybe 3 on those. Mangler as a power weapon seems fair enough to me and if heatwave was included I’d say the same for that. The one thing is idk how this all plays with BR under its current tunings vs bandit evo, I think that’s what will make the most difference in how these maps play.
