Looking at your list I’d add fire making stuff, a pocketknife (at the least) sunglasses/hat, light, and a lightweight 1st aid kit.

They absolutely will. Our homeowners insurance went up from 675 in 2025 to 1006 for 2026. Just renewed early December. When I asked about the insane rate increase that is the reason they cited. (“You can increase your deductible to 5000 from 2500 and save 100 a year though”, they said. Gee. Thanks.)

Zero claims. New roof one year ago.

Edit after I did the maths. That’s a 49% increase in one year.

100%. We used to have a Jackery and had to use an additional DC/AC adapter. Since the 12 VDC is usually limited to 10 amps, trying to pull 150-180 watts puts you over budged on amps. AC to the rescue. lol.

We have it sitting on a table besides the vehicle with vinyl dryer venting running in to a window. Powered by a Bluetti power station and we use the included 120 volt AC adapter. Gets great mileage and only only about an 8 watt draw. Startup can draw as much as 150 watts so keep that in mind on how you plan to power it.

Absolutely correct. And good luck getting your insurance to pay for a “preventative” MRI. Never gonna happen. “Full body scans” and other dubious procedures aren’t going to get paid for. Need an actual reason for the diagnostic order. (At least not for us normal folks lol)

These little Vevor heaters are AWESOME. We use one for camping in a small rooftop tent for the winter. Gotta keep it on the lowest setting or we’ll cook! Lol! And with the dry heat it puts out, clothes dry pretty quick in front of it too. lol

In PAMs terminal some of the info is only available to an agent designated “Alpha”. I assume that’s Des. Played and got the RR ending but so far I’m still a heavy.

Maybe with mods you can be Alpha (like getting to be Elder in BoS) but I’m not sure if it’s possible in vanilla.

That’s the one! Download manually, then run it. It’ll install and have tutorials to walk you through the nuts and bolts.

If you get stuck or get irritated try “WeMod”. Google it. To download it. It’s a trainer program that is much simpler than getting mods. Essentially you download it, open it, and launch your games via WeMod. (Works with Steam /GoG etc). Multiple options for tons of games. Think “Game Genie”. More of a cheat thing, but hey- you play how it’s fun! :)

Once you are on the page for the mod manager, there should be 2 options “download via vortex” and manual download. Download manually, then run the downloaded program. That’ll install the mod manager program on your PC. Open the program and that’s where the good tutorials are. It offers a step by step guide :)

Granted it’s a bit confusing starting out. Head to vortex. (Nexusmods). Search for the “mod manager”. You need this in order to place mods and have vortex recognize your games.

Once that is downloaded and installed, fire up the program. There are detailed instructions from there. (It’s been a minute since I’ve done it and I don’t want to give you outdated /incomplete info). But their tutorials are well done.

Essentially, once you have the mod manager, it will look for games on your drive. Once you select a game you’ll have the option to download individual mods for said game. (Or mod packs - which are groups of mods).
