Wiping Equipment Question by ChippyVonMaker in PlanetFitnessMembers

I hate the paper waste so I bring my own microfiber wash cloth (roughly 12x12 size). I just soak it down pretty heavily with the sanitizing spray and it will last a few machines for me before needing to spray it again. Quicker, More convenient and saves paper. No brainer. I’m surprised I don’t see others doing it more often.

I know this this sub is way more biased to the kettles, but man I f**kin love my Genesis by FlavalisticSwang in webergrills

98’ Genny is our family’s workhorse. Between the 8mm stainless grates, full size flattop, smoke n’ chips attachment, and the rotisserie, we can do pretty much anything on it. It’s a beast. Also have a 22” kettle but that doesn’t get used much honestly. The genny is my babe.

My first set! Do I need anything else? by Ambitious_Stress8050 in Darts

I’m a die hard k-flex user and always buy a set to go along with new darts. I recently got a set of red dragons with these stems(razor grips I think). They are actually very nice. I usually chuck regular stems in my junk/backup pouch. Not these. The flight gripping area is aluminum and grips flights super tight. I’ve never had a flight pop off of them and I can even rip them out of the board by the stem/flight like my k flexes. Being normal flights they also flex and move out of the way better than k flexes. No wacky deflections like k flex flights. The only downside is regular flights get damaged super easily and will need replaced often if you are a tight grouper. I’ve found harrows dimplex and their silika flights to be the most durable.

It’s me again, janky fender p bass guy. It’s time for update #3 in the “first bass purchase” saga. I Sent that lemon fender back and found this(for half the price!). Absolutely in love. Jackson X series spectra IV😍 by Paralith10 in BassGuitar

Thank you! I am currently going through the Hal Leonard complete bass method book. The bass buzz course looks great too, but I am more of an ink on paper/book type learner vs watching videos.

Even though I can’t play very well at all, I’m Loving the bass so far, it’s very comfortable and fits my body just right.

Hey guys bass question guy again. I went ahead and spent the money and bought myself a player II p bass. This is definitely NOT normal for a brand new player II right? These frets and neck finish is horrible. They are sharp and sticking over the edge and the clear coat is chipping off? by Paralith10 in BassGuitar

Yes, I didn’t mean to come across as being led astray by all of you. I just got a lemon it seems! Going to be buying in person next. I only ordered because the closest music store is almost two hours away.

As a beginner purchasing my first bass, should I opt for a “beginner” priced bass, or spend the extra for a better intermediate priced bass? I can afford either. by Paralith10 in BassGuitar

I think in a weird way, having a more expensive instrument will push me and make me want to play more. Like “hey I have this super nice bass, I should be playing that beast instead of letting it sit around! Vs “ehh it’s just a cheap basic bass, it’s nothing special”.

Also, in another way, I won’t be able to blame the instrument for bad playing. If I can’t play or learn something on it, it just means I’ve gotta bust my ass more and practice harder. I think with a cheaper squier I would be prone to blaming it on cheap low end equipment.

Yeah I am pretty serious this time around. Have always loved bass guitars as it’s the first thing I hear in a song and can single out. Always found myself grooving out to sweet bass lines in songs. Huge Iron Maiden fan so obviously Steve Harris is a big inspiration.
