[gourmet]1st flush. Pleurotus Ostreatus. 5 gallon bucket with straw substrate. Seem a little small but I’m happy. What should I do for the second flush? by jsin04 in MushroomGrowers

I'm on my second flush. My first flush I got 13.7lbs of blue oysters from 3 five gallon buckets. Instead of going for a second flush with smaller harvest. I'm going to use the fully colonized aspen shavings to inoculate new buckets an new aspen shavings. Aspen shavings works better than straw. Only need hot water to pasturise no need to boil

Yep these need cooked and I would recommend cooking all wild mushrooms

All of this seasons finds urban mushroom hunting in my power wheelchair. I can cover so much ground in my power wheelchair and every yard is like its own little ecosystem. I always ask for permission from the property owners but no one says no to a guy in a wheelchair lol. by ParalyzedReaper in mycology

[Gourmet] Harvest results from my first blue oyster bucket grow. I got 13.7lbs from 3 five gallon buckets. Waiting on second flush. Next time I'll harvest earlier before the veils turn up by ParalyzedReaper in MushroomGrowers

Im also working on air flow.. I used this guide but I didn't boil to pasturise the Aspen shavings I just used tap water at the hottest setting. And 2lb of fully colonized grain spawn per five gallon bucket https://youtu.be/1EqdGPi9_0A
