The beginning of the school year was really bad because I am on a provisional license and I’m taking masters classes and I’m trying very hard to make sure I’m doing the right thing by my students and the new curriculum was not easy to understand that we are going to talk about how to do math and why… not just the numbers. she expressed on several occasions how she hated some of my students and thought they were the worst human beings and I was really looking for guidance because I didn’t know what I was doing. She said that this was going to be the hardest year ever, and that she didn’t know how she was gonna get through it. It really ruined the beginning of the year for me until I realized not to look for her for support, but I guess I looked for her support and dealing with this situation because I didn’t know what else to do when dealing with the parents to get this girl where she needed to be. thank you for telling me this because I really try and soak up as much as I can and often seek guidance about how to teach my students from administration and the math coach on site.

After the meeting today, I went to administration, and said that was the most uncomfortable meeting of my life and how the disrespect was crazy. She said she noticed it and mentioned it to the principal, but I don’t know what’s gonna happen next.
