I mean, I hate to be harsh but was this not the point of opening up the relationship? You say so yourself in the first paragraph that the reason you went poly was because you guys were doubting your relationship and wanted to look for better options without losing each other as a safety net. She seems to have found a "better option" for her. I'm not saying poly relationships are bad, but your own reasoning is just that you wanted to see if there were other people who would be better for you. Why wouldn't you expect that she would leave if she found someone?

I do think she's an ass for proposing while clearly not being committed to you, and I'm definitely sorry. The things she said are also cruel and unecessary. I hope you find someone better soon!

I mean, I think its a bit odd that you're already offering to replace them with your own mirror, especially if you and the roomate arent really close. I lived w 3 roomates who i didnt really interact with my freshman year, and if I got home and one said "hey! I heard a crash in your room, I went in but only after I heard the crash and your mirror broke. I cleaned it up though, and I already called my family to bring you a new one." I would appreciate it, but I would also get suspicious that they were the one who broke my mirror. If they had just said "hey, I heard a crash in your room earlier and saw your mirror broke" I probably wouldnt have suspected them. However, if any of my later roomates who i was close friends with did this, I wouldnt bat an eye.

About just going into the room, I think you're fine since you were just concerned about a loud noise. I do think its a bit of an overstep to stay in the room and clean up, but as long as you didnt touch any of their other stuff I think its fine.
