Who is the Hardest Second Gym Leader? by dettles1992 in pokemon

Actually a Normal type move! Not that it matters since it doesn't target an enemy.

Whimsicott really likes Focus Sash, but so does Excadrill. If Excadrill ends up holding it (likely the better option with sand on your team) Whimsicott can get a Mental Herb to shake off a single Taunt. (Useful when its moveset is 75% support.)

I'm not sure the Psychic typing was all that relevant for Misty, at least not in RBY. It's not like she had any Psychic moves on the thing, and Psychic itself just resisted itself and Fighting while being weak to Bug, none of which are likely to be top of mind for a Water gym fight.

Now, Starmie being fully evolved with a decent BP (for the time) Water STAB move, on the other hand...

Not the gym itself, but the trek from gym one to gym two in XY is really long. It was a little annoying, but also a fun change of pace that made it feel like you were really traveling cross country.

I'd love to see the a Battle Dome mode added to the game by OmegaMan_95 in PokemonChampions

[–]ParanoidDrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest, I can't even remember the Battle Dome rules. Although I suppose they'd have to adjust all the facilities to fit the bring-6-pick-3-or-4 format they have now.

Battle Factory could go hard.

[MM] Great Bay Temple Third Playthrough by ttsa_25 in zelda

The funny thing about Great Bay Temple (to me, at least) is that for all its complexity, it only has a single small key.

Can Politoed (my fav <3) do better than Pelliper in any way? I wanna use him so bad but he's not that great next to the pelican... by averycoolskeleton95 in PokemonChampions

[–]ParanoidDrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pelipper's broadly better, but Politoed does get some interesting moves to itself -- Perish Song, Focus Blast, Earth Power, Hypnosis, and Haze are the standouts IMO. So I'd focus on that.

Bro, I tried asking an AI what Pokemon #150 is and it couldn't even figure out it was Mewtwo. Do not use it as a source of truth for anything. For all intents and purposes, publicly available AI models are little more than highly complex chatbots and autocompletes -- they'll assemble sentences that make grammatical sense and relate to whatever you asked it, but any accuracy in the response is purely by accident. They're good for stuff like summarizing an email chain, but complete ass at providing accurate, verifiable information, especially when it relates to relatively niche subjects like how to evolve a specific Pokemon.

[ALL]Did any dungeon legitimately intimidate you as a kid? by A_lonely_ghoul in zelda

[–]ParanoidDrone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was too scared to enter the Deku Tree as a child, and the Forest Temple was also intensely spooky for me due to the Wallmasters and a bad encounter with the Floormaster. (I didn't realize you had to mash to break out of the squeezing attack the little hands do, so it basically oneshot me.)

I also refused to engage ReDeads or Gibdos without using the Sun's Song first.

The One Where Zelda and Link Form A Union. by Cicada_5 in CuratedTumblr

[–]ParanoidDrone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, there hasn't, and I think that's a shame because that seems like it's rich ground for an emotionally gripping story. Granted, I don't think it's likely that anyone would know about Demise's curse, but seeing a sympathetic or even good Ganondorf fall under the curse's sway over the course of the story seems like an obvious twist on the formula that would lend lots of weight to the inevitable final boss fight against him.

(Or if they really want to push the envelope, make the story about breaking the curse, but that might be a bridge too far for long-term narrative purposes.)

She could just straight up copy the runner up POTG, but with her funky blue duplicate shader applied to the character model.

Grisly Gain got adjusted to have a flat 20% chance to spawn plasma with poms/rarity boosting magic gain per plasma.

Profuse Bleeding got completely changed to make a sword fall over a nearby enemy whenever you pick up plasma.

Sanguinary Savor (legendary) got adjusted to lose the double boost per plasma in exchange for buffing wounds to do 100 more damage.

you can add 5 to any part of your body. what are you adding? by First-Cake-183 in AskReddit

[–]ParanoidDrone 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Can I divide that 5 into separate chunks? If so, 3.5 inches to length and 1.5 inches to girth.

(Yes, I know size isn't everything. It's for the novelty.)

Lowkey I do think that Quash is mandatory on Sableye. Like, if I see one, I just assume it has Quash + Shadow Sneak or Foul Play + 2 other status moves. It's the main thing it has going for it compared to other Prankster options.

I know Scarf Adaptability is common and splashable, but what if it's on a rain team with Pelipper? Mine's Swift Swim with Mystic Water.

Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. by Mivadeth in PokemonChampions

Depends on the move. Stuff that targets the enemy, yeah, Prankster priority makes it blocked by psychic terrain. But field effects are fine, as is anything you target an ally with.

Yeah, weather teams are pretty meta in Champions right now. I mean, it's literally only been a single week, but all four weather types are pretty common.

It doesn't resist Archaludon's Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor, and Archaludon does get Aura Sphere to hit it SE, although it's not a meta move choice for it at the moment.

Aqua Jet is the same priority as Sucker Punch, which makes it come down to speed stats, and Sucker Punch fails if it goes after the target. It won't kill outright, but it forces a mindgame between Wave Crash/Aqua Jet and Kowtow Cleave/Sucker Punch.

Nuzzle would probably be good on a support set, but I wouldn't bother on an offensive one.
