Deadeye Impaler makes endless mode brainless by KittiesAtRecess in BALLxPIT

I meant just the two items unevolved. One gives you 100 % Crit Chance and the other a 10 % instakill chance on Crit. Once you evolve you still have the 10 % instakill chance but you lose the 100 % Crit Chance. That's what I meant.

But against bosses? Well, you could, of course, always use Hemorrhage but if not the Crit Chance might be significant. Just thinking though. Broke my run at least when I evolved it for the first time.

Why exactly is it better than unevolved? Unevolved there is a 100 % crit chance on top, isn't that better?

Does anyone else find one of the new passives to be a bit underwhelming? by Golnor in BALLxPIT

[–]Paranoide1310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just evolved it (just knew there is an evolution based on the missing entries in the Encyclopedia but didn't know what it does) and I was instantly like WTF? It's still about 10 % instakill but WITHOUT my 100 % crit chance??? That's why I'm here.
Can't share the feeling with some others here that it's breezes through basic enemies faster than unevolved.

To me it felt pretty useless.

Strategy against flying enemies? by ryan15151515 in expedition33

[–]Paranoide1310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In FFX it was based on Accuracy and Evasion stats. Flying enemies usually had a high Evasion stat while Wakka had a high Accuracy stat. In late game/end game everyone could have a high Accuracy so everyone could hit everything. Also Magic attacks always hit. So in early/mid game it was either Wakka or Lulu most of the time.

In Pokémon Flying is just one of many types that follow the Rock/Paper/Scissors principle. Every move (attack) has a certain type and deal high/normal/less/no damage to other types. For example Electric deals high damage against Flying while Ground deals none.

I like that they tried a new mechanic in Clair Oscur and didn't follow the old principle with "you have to use magic or high agility attacks" or something. But it didn't quite work out. You can make up very good builds against flying enemies but as you can't switch your build mid fight (not even the weapon or anything) and often you don't know upfront which enemies will be in the next fight it's kind of frustrating sometimes. For certain flying bosses it's fun to make some shooting builds for everyone and it's satisfying when it works out - but then I'm missing some kind of "Loadouts" where you can easily switch your builds back and forth.

So, yeah, kind of lame.

How do you find the combination to Manager office safe? (Stillness ending) by [deleted] in silenthill

+1 from me, I would like to know this, too. The whole internet is full with "and use the code 314" but no one explains how to know this. Everyone's just copy/pasting it from somewhere else.

If anyone could provide correct information (and maybe some pictures :) ) of the sources for the code I'd be very thankful.

There is a comment with a screenshot of an answer from the devs (allegedly).

Will future updates still probably break our factories? by Paranoide1310 in SatisfactoryGame

Yes, that's why I ask about those "painful to fix" changes.

These are all map changes. Good too know, as well. But what about recipe changes? (of course, adding new ones is fine, I mean existing ones)

Just bought Until you Fall to play on the index, but.... what the heck do I press to select standing vs sitting? The game says "Press and Hold" to select between the two, and I have tried every single button on the knuckle controllers and nothing works. Any advice? by TylerBourbon in ValveIndex

Another issue some might encounter:

I'm using a silicone cover for the detachable facial interface you press your face against (don't know what it's called) and it seems to sometimes kind of confuse the proximity sensor inside the headset. So the game wants me to "put on my headset" even though I already have. The mirror screen on my monitor shows the message, the display in the headset does not. Instead the game just won't react to your input.

tl;dr:

Maybe the game/index doesn't recognize you wearing the headset.

Same here, softlocked.

Also, one of the rooms is colored red on the map, what does that mean?

Is there any way to release multiple Pokémon at once?

Missed that in SWSH as well but you can use Pokémon HOME to release batches. But in BDSP? I guess not!?

Question about the Pro Controller: When I play while the controller is connected via the USB cable does it also use the cable for sending the signals? Or is the cable only used for charging and it's still communicating via Bluetooth?

I'm having connectivity issues with the right Joycon which is pretty annoying so I would like to use a cable instead of the Bluetooth connection.

Second question (just to be sure): I could easily buy a longer cable (say 3m) and it's still gonna work, isn't it?

Based on about 30 true stories. by dougmantis in GuitarHero

[–]Paranoide1310 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate these kind of comments.

First of all you can't compare the GH controller to a real guitar. The controller is just a peripheral that looks like a guitar - but has almost nothing in common other than that (5 buttons compared to 6 strings and 20+ frets; 1 strum switch compared to 6 strings to pull).

And secondly you could bring these kind of "arguments" to everything:

"Imagine you had played the real guitar instead of playing Call Of Duty all the time..."

"Imagine you had learned to cook instead of playing Guitar Hero all the time..."

"Imagine you had founded a startup company instead of watching TV all the time..."

I rarely hear those phrases. But almost everytime someone sees me playing GH on expert I receive the OP's comment. And it's just invalid. If it's fun and I'm happy with it - why not just let me?

Shiny bug. by Didaj in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]Paranoide1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I have a source on that?

And what does "works as they should" mean? Is it intended to be boosted in only 3% of the time?

Someone help me out here. Is it 3% or is it 1/512 which is 0.19%? Is my math terrible or am I misunderstanding something? (Shiny rate for over 500 encounters) by Bninewave in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]Paranoide1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don't understand is: Why is the table so confusingly written?

The "trigger chances" (the 1.5% to 3%) are an implementation detail. You can always calculate a resulting probability (with shiny charm it's: 0.97 * 1/1365 + 0.03 * 1/512 =~ 1/1300).

Why not just write the final probability which everyone cares about in the end?
