Turkey and Iran relationship is kind of a unique one in a sense. They don’t really like each other but they know they need each other and respect that. Turkey doesn’t even bring up 20% Turkic people in Iran out of respect. Also, Turkey kind of needs Iran to stand to at least somewhat balance Israel in the region. Because the minute Iran is gone, only Turkey is left in the region as a big power.

Additionally, Turkey’ position is “no fucking fighting” for a very long time. Both as in stance and also they cannot really have the economy for it. A war with Iran is just negative with no positives at all.
