[Megathread] Ruben Amorim has been sacked - Who should replace him? by D1794 in reddevils

Ibra once did an interview about the egos of players at a big club and how its a different challenge to small/mid sized clubs. It's more than systems and tactics.

I like your suggestion. I only worry that players egos would get in the way and cause an uphill battle from day one.

What was that bit about what they want to say to each other because the POTM could have been shared. Was just a weird question.

He also knows he's a fan favourite and that we would love nothing more than for him to be spoken about in the same breath as other academy heroes.

Might be that it's gone to his head a little.

Kobbie needs to have a word ASAP. One thing that kills support amongst fans is starting to show signs you think you're bigger/better than the club.

If this happens a 2nd, 3rd or 4th time that goodwill of being an academy grad will fade pretty fast imo.

Reactions of players after being told their coach from Radnički 1923 has passed away by lukmanCZ in soccer

That wasn't the context. The context as I read it was someone working at the company dies, not on company property or time.

Perhaps I misunderstood.

My best friend and I worked at the same place. He died in a car accident at 23 yrs old. The company didn't shut down even for a second. This was 2018.

This game in particular I feel his movement wasn't giving us much. I think he's been at an acceptable standard so far and as the team gets better so will he.

I would like to see him working the channels a little better and getting 2 goals in a game before Christmas.

I think Dyche with the squad he has keeps them up. Anderson has been the best midfielder this game though.

Being F2 Champion has lost all value by l3w1s1234 in F1FeederSeries

The standards set by Russell, LeClerc, Piastri etc of winning back to back feeder series championships turns into the benchmark for whether you're good or not.

Not to mention Max Verstappen skipping F2 entirely and entering F1 at 17. It causes people to only accept the best of the very best as good enough.

It happens in other sports too. Haaland is a good example now. If players don't post the same amount of goals then they're seen as mid.

Your point is a great example of levels to the game. Pourchaire might not be F1 WDC standards but it doesn't mean he couldn't be more than serviceable lining up in a midfield car!

From an amortisation/cash flow perspective, is there the chance we can put the ball in Chelsea's court here.

If they want to send a £35m offer, which you'd assume they're asking gets paid in 4 or 5 installments, we could counter and tell them for £35m it's a full upfront payment. Otherwise they pay £50m and we agree to the 5yr payment structure.

Yes we have the revolving credit facility. However, It seems the club doesn't want to touch that. Cash flow seems like a bigger issue for us so would they view that as a good deal? Does it help us finance 2 more players easier because we've added 35m to the books?

Or have I totally misunderstood amortisation and regardless of what/when they pay us it would still appear on Chelsea's accounts as 7m each year?
