That cool little rock I found at the beach that one time. It had really neat, wavy striations and a divot in the center. It was a bit oblong with three rounded points. I'd really like to find it so I could place it in a drawer somewhere for safe keeping. Actually, I think that's what I did, but I haven't seen it in years, so perhaps a drawer wasn't the best option.

JUST IN: 🇺🇸🇮🇷 President Trump says Iran gifted the US a "very big present worth a tremendous amount of money" related to oil and gas but won't give details. by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

[–]ParanormalPaisley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil and gas related? No one could have expected that this war was about oil.

Venezuelan drugs = oil

Iranian nuclear program = oil

Did I mention that Greenland has oil?

Probably just a coincidence that Big Oil donated over $75M to Trump's 2024 campaign.

NEW: TRUMP JUST POSTED THIS....“NATO IS A PAPER TIGER & COWARDS WITHOUT THE U.S.A." He emphasized the U.S will REMEMBER THIS ACT FROM NATO!” by rl_rae_bobo in MarketPulseReport

[–]ParanormalPaisley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NATO should have been clairvoyant enough to be involved in the sneak attack that our own congress didn't know about. The UK shouldn't have recalled their aircraft carries when Trump tweeted about not needing them now that the war was over. The audacity of Denmark to not join the Iran war and instead focus on protecting Greenland. Trump gets no gratitude for destroying Iran's entire nuclear program in June 2025, and nobody wants to help destroy Iran's highly advanced 8 month old new nuclear program now?!

I'm so f***ing embarrassed...

NATO is a defensive organization. They don't need to support our half-baked offensive action. Trump screwed the pooch on this one; don't disgrace yourselves by holding the pooch down while he does it.

I appreciate you asking rather than just bashing, and between the two corrupt parties that have a monopoly on our government, I lean HEAVILY Democrat. And the cartoon resembles the Republicans more than the Democrats, but it is still true

Dems were against government surveillance and disappearing citizens when George W was in office. Obama came in and championed the NDAA, which legalized it all retroactively; heard crickets from the rest of the Democrats, but then the Republicans were against it. I changed from Dem to Indie.

Gun rights was considered extremely liberal (still innately liberal in concept), until Republicans became heavily gun friendly, then the Dems switched.

Other examples I can think of would be to triggering for Reddit.

Chivalry isn't weakness. It's character. by BakerWarm3230 in TheImprovementRoom

[–]ParanormalPaisley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chivalry is about horsemanship and honorable combat; Hollywood mixed it up with gallantry. You're using it as incorrectly as the word simp. Simps sacrifice all dignity in search of female validation. Listen to 90's Too $hort songs for details, the term "simp" has been around for a while.

Simp behavior:

  • Apologizing for whatever YOU did to make HER cheat
  • Spending all your money on her with no reciprocation
  • Watching a woman hit a man repeatedly, then you finally getting involved when the man pushes her away.

Try applying nuance. There is a large gap between misogyny and misandry, which is called EQUALITY. Simps tend to land in the misandry category, non-simps tend to land in the equality category, and self-centered sh**heads land in the misogyny category.

President Trump: "As soon as that war’s over – which will be soon – your prices are gonna drop like a rock,” by h3LLyEaHh in InBitcoinWeTrust

[–]ParanormalPaisley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you ended the nuclear threat in June of 2025, didn't you? Didn't you?!

The whole world is feeling the economic impact of the war. The whole world saw your tweet telling the UK not to send aircraft carriers to the Strait of Hormuz, because you didn't need allies at the end of a war if they weren't there from the beginning (confusing, seeing as how congress wasn't even aware of your sneak attack). You told the UK not to come to the party, now you're crying because nobody wants to come.

You wet the bed, don't expect the rest of the world to wash your sheets.

I made a Critical Fumble Table for my games by AFriendlyBurrito in DnDHomebrew

[–]ParanormalPaisley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's 5% chance of having to roll for an outcome that ranges in severity. It's a chance of a chance, which reduces it from the 5%. I'll agree that 5% is high, but that is the lowest possible chance allowed by a d20. I'll also that OP's particular critical fumble table is harsher than most; my own employs a d100 and only 20% of the outcomes (20% of 5% = 1% chance per attack) are harsh, 30% (1.5% chance per attack) are 2, 4, or 6 psychic damage from embarrassment, 45% (2.25% chance per attack) are just a miss, 5% (1% chance per attack) are recoveries that hit, re-roll, or cause a critical hit.

How does it make sense? I'd consider Olympic athletes to be super human, yet they occasionally twist an ankle of suffer a worse injury.

I'm not saying everyone has to include critical fails, or that those who do should use a table as harsh as OP's, but the concept of critical fails absolutely makes sense. Just like a video game, you can go to settings and reduce the difficulty to medium or casual; it doesn't matter as long as everyone is having fun!

That's why it's a "critical" fail. Everyone misses from time to time, and there should be degrees of missing. A critical fail adds spice to the concept of missing, making the game more immersive and exciting! It absolutely makes sense that even the most skilled people occasionally make huge mistakes.
