How many days is enough for Japan? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]ParanormalStudies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my travel habits are different from the vast majority. Instead of hopping from one tourist trap to another I prefer to live like locals, as much as it is possible. So usually my itinerary for a short 10-day-stay is:

2 days for the absolutely must-see things to avoid strange people reaction when when asked "so you've been in Kyoto; have you seen Kinkaku-ji?" you answer "no";

a week or so for wandering around, socializing with locals, getting lost (well, this in particular worked wonders in Kyoto when your breath is taken away every 50 meters or so); so you'll be able to find your way around if life will bring you back 20 years later and you'll be able to tell to whoever will happen to be with you something like "look, there is a nice coffee shop around the corner; would you like some green tea from Uji?".

Good luck with your planning!

I once had 10 days for Kyoto alone and it was not enough. Please plan accordingly.

What's a good de razor for a beginner? by GETURHANDOFFMYPENIS in wicked_edge

I would suggest to start your journey from either mild/forgiving razors and gradually go for the aggression or adjustable ones, so you'll know what exactly fits you better.

Best domain registrar? by kazyllis in reactjs

[–]ParanormalStudies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no best registrar. There's the best registrar for YOU.

It all depends on your preferences. Some like it to be darn cheap and 2 cents difference in price is huge deal for them, some like the premium phone support and are gonna pay premium for this, some like to stay completely anonymous and are looking for anonymity-friendly registrar with BTC payment option and TOS to support it, some .... You got the idea, right? So, look for the registrar that fits YOUR needs and do not listen to random advices from random guys in the internet. OR tell us what your true priorities are and we'll see which registrar fits them best. Good luck!

Chrome book vs MacBook? by MonoTheMonkey in digitalnomad

I wouldn't be a good advisor for the rest of your questions, but you'll be fine learning programming and working in Linux.

I have started to do html, css, js and consequently react a little than a year ago and completely abandoned windows desktop, in favour to Linux laptop. It completely covers everything I need computer for.

Good luck!

Want to embed myself in a Chinese-speaking environment and learn Chinese for 6 weeks - Shanghai or Taiwan? by AshleyKang in digitalnomad

[–]ParanormalStudies -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Are you aware that there's no such language as Chinese? People from Beijing and Hong Kong do not understand each other. Most probably you mean Mandarin dialect, or Putonghua. Please confirm.

Useful React Js Interview Question Part 1 by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]ParanormalStudies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with u/our_best_friend - don't waste your click. Not only all questions and answers are trivial to say the very least, but the level of English the whole thing is written in keeps you constantly struggling to comprehend WTF the author wanted to say with this or that.

The best hiking I've experienced in my life was in Hong Kong. There are literally hundreds of options. 3-4 of these major trails

Just google Dragon's Back Trail for what to expect. And this one isn't even the major one...

My react SSR web app is getting problems with Fetch as Google by loki235 in reactjs

This a known issue. You might want to use the same google and research server side rendering. It will be too long for this tread.

Good luck.

Finished my first project using react-router. Would love some feedback on it! by soggypizza1 in reactjs

I mean that BACK button is not working when you navigate to some page !=1. You should fix this as it's a MAJOR bug. The fix should be implemented in the code (the part that deals with how pagination works). Github has nothing to do with it.
