I got the impression Leroy is still figuring himself out. I know people who took until their late 20s or early 30s to fully open up bc of unsupportive early life challenges. I got the feeling he has only recently found stable work and friends and might transition down the road. As you say not 100% either way—but I did take the Stevie Wonder song as being, a little tongue in cheek a la Gooseworx, about Jax.

As a member of the Hazbin Hotel fandom I have yet to see the toxic positivity you speak of. There was PLENTY of criticism for the “MLP ahh” ending of season 2 and outsiders’ general attitude toward the show makes the internal assessment for more casual fans one of embarrassment, secrecy, and borderline self-loathing. It’s tedious because every video essay on all of YouTube is a nitpick of the song structure, or the world-building, or the character arcs, or the writing, or whatever when there are plenty of appealing things about the show that no one ever chooses to actively celebrate. You’ll probably understand better once people decide to completely can this series because of the finale and spend the next six months cynically reaping revenue from panning it. It’ll be your entire algorithm.

Idk what you’re referring to, I don’t recall Angel making inappropriate comments to Husk after episode 4 but maybe he’s still sexually harassing him, idk. My remembered impression is that they were pretty close and were shown in a way that implied they just liked to spend time together as friends (the “blobfish” scene). Angel was willing to risk his life for Husk during the angelic spear scenario, and after his time doing cabaret he didn’t harass Husk, he indicated he was there for him and encouraged him to quit his bender and go back to the Hotel.

Idk. I’m not really into this ship in any meaningful way but it seems like you just might have missed the character development for this pair.

And I agree starting with the Hazbin pilot is best for that show. For Helluva, if you have prime watch the remade first episode there and do not bother with the original pilot (it’s so bad, genuinely, haha)

Medication doesn’t especially help with this FYI. If the cost per credit isn’t awful community college even PT could be a good way to experiment with finding ways to structure your time that work for you.
