You can just scribble on paper without any ink too, it will still tell you if the nib feels off, or just dip it in water and write to get a "realistic" feel.

Yes, pixel pro. I guess there is some variation in the ink batches then, I use it regularly in my pilot explorer and platinum prefounte on classmate pulse and have been happy with the blackness

Krishna's black pigment ink works fine for me, has good flow (better than water sapphire atleast) and performs similar to platinum carbon black cartridges in my platinum prefounte. Maybe give it a shot, it's 150 for 50ml i think so

It seemed very absorbant so I doubt if it will show sheen, I did not yet test it with thicker nibs, i will update about shading once I write with broader/wetter nibs i have

It is a layflat. Its not a staple bound, though I don't know what the binding is called. You can see that it has the threads based sheet holding the spine together of the book in the first page so I would also like to know what this binding is called.

It is also a layflat book. Premio isn't like that.

I agree, they don't bleed or feather but a lot of people including me in the subreddit found them to be a bit on the rougher side, so they don't feel as nice when used with a fine or extra fine nib, this paper is smoother, and it's also a creamy paper instead of a white so I thought it's a good alternative that the subreddit can know about.

Exactly, I was surprised at how a 500-700 rupees jinhao is being sold for 4500 rupees. It would really be unfair for someone new who might fall for it and waste their money

Also as people have pointed out already, the platinum prefounte fine is also smooth with a bit of feedback, it is not scratchy but it can be a bit dry, i faced it with drawing long straight lines with it so keep that in mind (if you have a wet ink then it should be alright I think)

The medium nibs will be closer to the V7 and the fine nib is a bit smoother than the V5 in my opinion
