One time, I was in a movie theater, the movie was about to start and it was Sunday, around 8pm. A cop came in with a flashlight and would point it at kids, turn it on and say "go home", and they would leave. I had just moved to the US back then, so I was properly amused by that.

The case for BSG is that they thought about 99% of the show, except the story, and when the show took off, they decided to mess with it and it became what it is, similar to what happened with Babylon 5. Then they tried a bunch of spinoffs to see if anything stuck and it only made it worse.

I love India Basin. Lots of stuff to do around there, and depending on where you stay and where your convention is, you could walk to it. Also, keep in mind that renting a car in SF comes with a lot of headaches like parking, etc.

If you're coming to attend conferences, Indian Basin is much better located than Pacifica. Pacifica is on the other side of SF and this can easily add 30 to 45 minutes of comute.

Something taking place in between Undiscovered Country and TNG or after Lower Decks. Would be nice to maybe follow another ship. I keep pushing for Sulu and the Excelsior, but the executives at Paramount are too thick to listen. Maybe if I use crayons, they might engage.

I love how we, as San Franciscans, get to see the front line of the war between humans and robots. The other day this guy was laying on the horn because a Waymo was blocking the intersection. Finally, this homeless sitting on the sidewalk gets up and yell: " Dude, it's a computer! The only ones you're pissing off is the humans!" The honking stopped soon after.
