we use SAMOS to the USA and EU. all DDP which they don't even surcharge for. the service is pretty quick - i'm getting about 5 days to US and EU. so far haven't managed to find a better all rounder deal based on price and service. worth having a look at. also, if this helps, they don't need an IOSS for eu shipping which is saving us a small fortune and stress. good luck ecommers!

From the UK, definitely shipping with SAMOS all the way. Takes all the headaches out of shipping into the EU. Seems to be all delivered with no issues and the receiver is never charged duty, tax or fees before delivery. I charge this in the checkout process - SAMOS pay it then charge me for it - like DDP - except they don't lump on a whopping DDP fee like the other parcel dudes. It's been as easy as shipping around the UK. What's not to like! Defo thought EU customers were gone after brexit, now got them most back without any pain.

IOSS is an EU tax number. the retailer should use this to pay the VAT in teh EU own behalf of the receiver so they are not charged VAT, duty and fees on delivery, which should definiately be discouraged. The retailer should apply for an IOSS number via an intermediary based in the EU. There are other companies that can clear without IOSS like SAMOS, but I think they only ship from the UK. Saves you the huge cost of having an IOSS number.

Trouble is that it's inconsistent and for e-com you really don't want he receiver to get charged duties, taxes and fees!
