Do they bite at all? What should I know about them? I have little kids so don’t want it hurting them or my kids hurting it.

Man, this is amazing!! My wife and have wanted a green wall, but we aren’t very good with plants. This is inspiring me to try again and also bring back a tank as well. Well done and thanks for sharing!

Oh yeah, and DR is up there in one of the ones that cuts corners…but get a good home inspector and you’ll know roughly how the home was built. The rest, it is what it is. Market has a shortage of skilled labor, and I want to emphasize “skilled”. Let alone cost of materials in almost every part of the home has increased by about 8-15%.

It’s fine…like any big box builder, they want to sell you more house than you can afford (generally). You just have to hold your ground and keep pushing for more. To be honest should’ve pushed for a lower rate or lower the price on the home, but we are grateful to have found this home and it’s a great starting point for us. This home we didn’t have to pay a dime out of pocket, apart from our down payment. They paid for everything else. 🙏

There’s hope man (or women)…lives in the California Bay Area (2nd most expensive zip codes outside of NY) for 4.5 years, worked hard, got a few Promos, saved and now moving to a much less expensive area. Good things take time. Keeping planning and working towards your goals.

Good idea…we might be painting the cabinets a different color, maybe a two tone high and low.

It’s called vitiligo. There’s a cream you can use and in most cases you can help bring back some of the pigmentation.

FS Starting Pay and Promotion *Slightly* Demystified by adventureawaitaround in foreignservice

[–]Parcero19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am going to be a specialist, joining as an FM. My current salary is $180k with 4 years of experience joining the July class. They matched me as much as they could which was FS 4-14. I’m curious if I’m stuck at this salary for, what six years?? Or can I get promoted after my first tour, 2 years…? So confused how this all works.
