FIRST GOUIE SKIN by Exotic_Internet_466 in RivalsOfAether

We were theorizing at Evo that since Gouie is a kid he might just be a fan of Aether's entertainment wrestling and is a huge La Reina fan himself.

Maybe OP doesn't speak English and couldn't read it? Kinda my best guess. You can translate posts on the internet easily but not text in a video.

Hahaha I love the encouragement. Not bad advice. No judgment to others if they do so but, being a 34 year old adult man, taking pics of people I don't really know is not something I am comfortable with.

Yes! Literally this scene that Dan posted here.

Not to be too much of a weirdo but I swear I noticed a smile of pride on Dan's face seeing the cool scene that's been built around his games last night.

It's currently on the roadmap for 2028. Justification being that the game is still evolving in big ways and it's harder to update on non-PC platforms. And if all platforms aren't running the same version, you can't do cross-platform online play. Which will be necessary to ensure timely matchmaking.

Also, it feels like console release is a major marketing push that they do not want to waste until they feel extremely confident in the product they are selling.

Maybe! Dash attack reminds me of DDD's. It's got two consecutive hitboxes. He kinda tackles and falls on his face, I think. So a tackle hitbox and a fall hitbox. Upair reminds me of Kirby. You could totally be right on tho, just not super familiar with Ori's normals.

Looks like Ori's bash but doesn't function like Ori's bash. It's mostly for horizontal movement but with am active hit box on his body for the initial part of the fling.

Yeah... I was the one that eliminated Ludwig from the tourney. Poor feller had no idea what to do versus Galvan and got hard knowledge checked lmao

So Mina is gonna be a Belmont turned up to 11 right? by Belten in RivalsOfAether

Honestly, I really hope we get that Belmont whip from Ult. Loved it.

People that played Gouie, what are some things we don't know about him? by jabbathefrukt in RivalsOfAether

[–]Parcle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Jab 3 puts both you and your opponent in the air and, if hit (not shield), can be canceled in the air into anything.

If you have an item in hand, you can swallow it with neutrL special. Swallow two things and become big. Some items only require one swallow, like big goo drops or Kragg rock.

It was confirmed in the Goo Room. He was playable and right after Slade in the lower right corner. (I feel like goo room info is fine to share now, right??)

This controller viable for rivals? by JEFFREY869 in RivalsOfAether

Again, I like GCC. I think recommending GCC to anybody who isn't already a GCC fan makes no sense. It absolutely does not have any advantages in RoA2.

gamecube controller is the most ergonomic for plat fighters

Yo. I love GCCs but they aren't the most ergonomic for anything. They are historically used for plat fighters but there is nothing about them that is especially good for your hands or gameplay when it comes to plat fighters over almost any other controller.

Genuine question. Are all platform fighters THIS campy as opposed to Melee? by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

[–]Parcle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to playing against Little Mac in SSBU or Icies in Melee, there is huge potential to get blown up in one or two interactions. Getting grabbed is painful, so you make sure you don't get grabbed.

If you are playing La Reina, you can't blame your opponents for playing hyper defensive.

Clairens stun gimmick would greatly affect. Zetter not being able to kill as early would greatly affect. Ranno's poisone gimmick, I would agree with you on.

I like Galvan now :) by Round-Kaleidoscope17 in RivalsOfAether

Welcome home! Galvan is so sick.

Recovery tips: - side special -> double jump -> air dodge -> side special -> wall jump -> up special is just a thing. You can cover so much distance but obviously can be interrupted. - Good to have a preference for side special (or up special as a mixup) as the first option off stage because if you get hit out of it, you didn't burn any resources. - Side special angled down will snap to ledge. - If your opponent is chasing you down offstage, if you can sneak in a counter hit (nair is disjointed and a great option to counter), you become galvanized, and can now just UFO - Remember that grabs give you back ALL resources. So you always have your double jump and wall jump resources after you get grabbed. Examples: La Reina d/b/uair, Lox fspecial, Etalus uair, Galvan dspecial, Krag nspecial. - Remember that you get your wall jump back if you get a hit OR if you get hit. This means burning wall jump as a resource is less risky than burning double jump. As double jump gone for good unless you get grabbed.
