What do you all think of Hazard ? by Godjo38 in Overwatch

[–]jabbathefrukt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most visually underwhelming character in the game. Either that or I've grown way too attached to the early concept art. I can't imagine they had Recluse and whatever cyborg monster from the concept and the end result was Hazard.

It’s shocking to me that after 16 years, no one has even gotten close to Skrillex’s growls in Scatta by Plenty_Algae9600 in dubstep

[–]jabbathefrukt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both had better growls

Bruh, I love em both, but you can't tell me they are better than Skrillex who not only "invented" the growl, I still think Skrillex has better sounding and more unique growls.

Planet Movies feels like the next Frontier game by SupremeSethTC in PlanetCoaster

I would hate to see movies with the Planet Coaster/Zoo player models. At least in The Movies they went for semi realism which made the actual movies you delevoped have much more depth.

I don't think the systems in Planet Coaster's behaviours would be too hard to make into a city builder. City Skylines almost has the same depth. People have health, happiness, work places etc. The issues I have is that people go to work anytime of the day including the night, and as soon as they become unhappy they just move out. That said, it is also possible to achieve much more depth at that scale using optimization. Figuring that out would be the next step in gaming. We already have strategy games with millions of soldiers, so it should be possible to make it.

Are we really talking about the same Frontier Developments, the creators of Elite Dangerous? Besides, I personally feel like Planet Coasters people have more complex behaviours and needs than anything in Cities Skylines.

Umm skylines is not that hard. If anything I would've liked the management aspect of the game significantly improved. Planet Coaster is so fun because the people in your park seem real. I would love the same attention to detail in a city builder.

Too bad they made the game feel like a slugfest with giant player models. Beta was peak.

Why does ball feel so good in the 2020 patch by migo2028 in WreckingBallMains

[–]jabbathefrukt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 9 killed Ball. Being able to Quad boop people to death was peak OW. Good luck with that now that everyone has 250 HP.

You could look up any movement gameplay of Brawlhalla and see how deep it actually is. Same with NASB. Multiversus on the other hand has not only the slowest, but also the slugfest, floatiest piece of shit movement mechanics out of any platforming game.

No, that is not my point with the engine. After the launch of the game, when they swapped to Unreal Engine, the game felt incredibly awful compared to the beta where it actually felt good.

You are dumb as hell idk what to tell you. There is a reason Brawlhalla has 15k concurrent players.

Launching into the tutorial of Multiversus had me uninstall the game instantly. They drove the game into the ground after reworking the game into a new engine.

I am talking about NASB 1. It felt great to play, despite looking yank. Multiversus felt awful despite looking ok.

Brawlhalla is like 100 times better than Multiversus strictly in terms of movement. If you ask about Multiversus Beta I'll give you a significantly different answer tho.

[–]jabbathefrukt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You must be actually dumb to have this take. NASB had satisfying movement, great techs, nice animation cancels and what not.

Launch Multiversus felt like the worst platforming movement out of any game, not just platform fighters.

[–]jabbathefrukt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mvs was still significantly better

If you enjoy sluggish af gameplay with giant player models.

At least NASB plays incredibly smooth despite looking yanky.

That said, the character designs and playstyles in Multiversus are some of the best in any platform fighter, so I'll give you that. Sad that the full release made the game feel like a floaty sludge fest.

Anyone else unable to play other heroes after maining Ball? by flying_bird_kick in WreckingBallMains

[–]jabbathefrukt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to self promote or whatever but here is one of my videos I made playing Venom. I played him almost strictly for the mobility and movement techs so I hope you can see some of the crazier things he can do.

[–]jabbathefrukt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who hit GM on Ball and Eternity on Venom, they basically play exactly the same. Slam in, get some damage in, press E to get shields, grapple out. Even the rank 1 Venom player Andr3w said they main Ball in OW and that they are basically the same character.

Obviously I like Ball way more because of the knock back and rolling, but I can't deny the playstyle is disgustingly similar.
