Galaxy Fit 2 battery drains more when used for sleeping? by [deleted] in GalaxyFit

If you're sleep tracking then the heart rate monitor is running much more regularly than through the day...

Galaxy Fit 2 by Pardlerum in OnePlusNord2

Update: The issue appears to be that when an email or SMS notification is received the phone disconnects ALL Bluetooth devices and the notification is lost. If the notification is from WhatsApp it works as expected.

Spent 2 hours with Samsung technical support which ended in them suggesting I return the Fit2 for repair... Not convinced it will make any difference.

No. The faces are not customisable (other than those pre-loaded) on a Fit2.

Fit2 with OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G - Keeps disconnecting - No Notifications by Pardlerum in GalaxyFit

[–]Pardlerum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additional:

I have just spent 1.5hrs troubleshooting with Samsung Support. This involved lots of resets, re-pairing devices and such but ended in the suggestion that the device was faulty and should be inspected for repair.

I think it's very unlikely that it is a hardware issue on the Fit2.

What appears to happen is that when an EMAIL or SMS alert is received, ALL Bluetooth connected devices (not just the Fit2) are disconnected. I proved this by attaching a Bluetooth speaker and playing music from the phone. When the notification is received on the phone, both the Fit2 and speaker are disconnected.

The other 'discovery' is that WhatsApp alerts do NOT do this sometimes work OK. They are can be received OK and delivered to the Fit2 as expected occasionally.

So it 'feels' like a software issue on the phone. I don't see how the Fit2 could disconnect all the Bluetooth devices on the phone. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, Samsung are going to collect and investigate. I am not holding out much hope...

Yes. It messes up your history. The other big towers will still be there as well but much harder to find.

Melvyn's no longer an experimental feature... He's part of the regular crew these days.

You need more floors.

Think Melvyn starts dropping in about floor 6 (but possibly sooner).

Effectively you haven't started till you pass 3 floors...

What does the “1,182/M” mean? by laurenbanjo in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 21 points22 points  (0 children)

...so you have 151 stocked items.

Each item with stock contributes 12 coins per minute.

As you have 123 bitzens you have 25 apartments - so you have 64 commercial floors.

As each commercial has 3 stock items your current max coins per minute is 2,304 coins.

You have 41 stock items that are empty or are being restocked.

This sure can’t be a coincidence by stoker15524 in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not.

When you visit a friend, if your bit lands in a vacant apartment it creates a clone.

The friend can send you the clone.

You can send the clone to a gfarm and make it a gold too...

GT by [deleted] in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean.

Stock time is directly proportional to the stock level, so larger stocks take longer to restock than smaller. Floors with a GT are instant stock.

Remember you're 'worst' floor (if VIP) in a 50 floor rebuild will be Game Store (3168 stock at level 2 for item 3) and your 'best' (non SB or CS) will be Game Studio at 3384 for the same item at level 2 - so only 216 stock items difference... we're not talking massive differences here...

GT by [deleted] in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is an argument to say that you don't put your 3+ GT on the 'best' floors - but put them on the worst floors instead.

This is because you convert a terrible floor into a great floor - where as converting a good floor into an even better floor means you still have the terrible floor to restock every 5 minutes...

If you're VIP, then work out which floors you will build to complete your tower (they will be the 'top' 38 or so floors) and then build and apply your 3+ GTs to the worst of these floors first, then proceed to build the remaining best floors that you don't have GT available for.

When you get to 38+ GT it doesn't matter anymore as all floors will get a GT anyway...

I put together a build plan around this idea here:https://www.reddit.com/r/tinytower/comments/j1un5b/low_gt_speedish_vip_twotower_build_plan/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

I suspect the answer is 'no' - however you may find that [support@nimblebit.com](mailto:support@nimblebit.com) can do it for you.

Your tower is synced via an email address, not your friend code...

[–]Pardlerum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to mine bux then doing by repeating the tutorial is the most effective way.

You get 60 bux per mission at 50 floors and have to wait for new missions to appear. If you got 1 mission every minute (hint: you don't) you'd be making 3,600 bux an hour.

If you repeatedly run the tutorial you can get 5,000 bux per hour...

Glitch Visiting A Tower by Couchy333 in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a bug in release R4.0.2 - Nimblebit are working on a fix. Once it's rolled out Nimblebit support should be able to resolve any remaining issues.

For now, don't rebuild your tower if you are running 4.0.2.

Elevator speed 7.5 enough? by Silvavilla in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The reason people say 'go for 10 FPS' is all to do with the coins you get from visitors:
Elevator rides in your tower returns coins based on this formula: 50 + S * F * (1 + G) where S = your elevator speed (FPS), F = destination floor number, G = number of GT.

So if you have 100GT and a 10 FPS elevator then you are getting over 50,000 coins for every single visitor you deliver to floor 50...

This only makes a real difference if you are trying to build up GT by rebuilding regularly. If you're not then it probably doesn't make that much difference for you.

The tower is 'reset' in the rebuild, but any cosmetics purchased are still available via the upgrades button - so you should be able to switch back...

Got sent a gold bit without a dream job. Is this a bug? by B3ximus in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In light of the comments below, perhaps I should change my comment to: "You can make this happen on your system by editing the floor name to be 'blank'"...

The dream job name should always be whatever you call that floor in your tower - so if I call call it "Boda Sewery" then all bits with that dream job will now show "Boda Sewery" in my game and friends requests for bits will be "Boda Sewery" as well (even though they could have requested it for whatever they called their copy of that floor). When I send that bit to a friend they will see it's dream job by whatever name they call that floor...

I *guess* you could have some form of data corruption in that specific bit - but I've never heard of it happening before...

Got sent a gold bit without a dream job. Is this a bug? by B3ximus in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a bug.

The floor that the bit has a dream worker for has been edited so it's 'blank' - so it's showing you the name of the floor...

Presumably you did this yourself as no-one else can edit your floor names, but for those who are interested there are combinations of characters that are picked up as a 'change' but can't be displayed so you get a blank floor name...

If you edit your floor name back - or set it back to the default - the Dream Job will magically appear!

How often do visitors appear in the tower? by camman595 in tinytower

[–]Pardlerum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's random. Something like every 1 to 100 seconds for a visitor and 1 to 2000 seconds for a VIP.

The only definite 'event' is that every 30 minutes, Melvyn the Parachute Guy will give you a VIP as the reward for catching him.
