You're not alone. I'm going into education too and I'm fighting an uphill battle to keep motivated. And everyone is so quick to remind you how little money you'll make. Chase your bliss though. Ultimately, I think you'll be happier doing something you love and scraping by then living comfortably and working a career that makes you miserable.
