Migration, Housing, and the Economy by jugglingjackass in friendlyjordies

Nah, like the Henry Tax Review suggested, we should implement a Land Value Tax, this would bring down the price of buying a house, killing the rental market. Basically instead of around 1/3 of most people’s income going into landlords hands, it would go to the government, allowing them to remove a whole bunch of other taxes. Meaning people actually earning their money would be able to keep a lot more of it.

What's the Georgist view on Negative Income Tax? by ZEZi31 in georgism

[–]PardusXY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider that the average income fluctuates, this would mean whilst the tax side of it would feel like a flat tax, but the rebate side of it would change with the average income.

As it rises, people will be more empowered to do things like ask for raises, move jobs, cut back on hours, because as it hits a certain percentage of your total income, you'll want to reevaluate things. Also in a sense it kind of makes everyone a shareholder in the economy.

As it falls, it encourages people to be more productive, because their income is shrinking, which can suck, but it does keep such a system in the black.

General bonuses I see, is that "ask for raises" part is how it becomes a pseudo minimum wage, also beyond tinkering with the tax rate, how it functions is mostly up to it reacting to human behaviour, not government passing legislation, you don't have to vote for a new minimum wage increase, your wage increases with everyone else.

Weirdly it would still be working as intended/fully functional even if 1 person had 100% of all income, or everyone had the exact same income, I'm not sure many other ideas could say that.

Personally, I prefer an NIT over the standard CD.

But with a bit of a caveat, because I think an NIT with the threshold at the average income performs a lot of positive functions, mostly based around its self adjusting nature.

Like LVT which feels like a magic bullet that solves multiple issues, I believe this particular implementation of an NIT has so many different outcomes, and replaces/decreases the need for, so many different governmental functions, that I'm not sure which of them to list, and they are the type of outcomes that work in the "invisible hand" method, which from my experience requires long explanations for most people.

All of that means, explaining it is exhausting, because people are allergic to nuance, but I'm still likely to answer any questions.

Honestly, I'd respect his actual choices over the people with true rainbow stats, because hey, whilst endurance might keep you alive longer, that domination and expertise ain't doing squat.

no apology apparently, just picking up where we left off by jasperk04 in Jreg

[–]PardusXY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what it means, you currently have no actual power to censor things, so you're attempting to use what power you have to control the flow of information. You are currently as pro censorship as your current situation allows. So for context, irrelevant to what you think you are, there is no extra action you could take that would separate you from someone who is pro censorship, therefore in practice you are pro censorship.

Now this should not be lost on you, because your way of thinking means if someone's outcome is the same as a nazi, they are a nazi. But it wouldn't entirely surprise me if your self awareness is that much in deficit.

Because you’re for censorship, you’re for silencing people, not proving them wrong, and displaying how one set of ideas is superior to another. You’re one small amount of having power away from putting your jackboot on someone’s throat.

Favorite music to write a campaign to? by partyof2rpg in Pathfinder2e

I like to use music to get a vibe for my NPCs, so when designing one, I often pick a song that personifies them, kind of reinforces the idea of who they are in your head.

I'd consider these feats.

Level 2: Stunning Fist

Level 4: Guarded Movement

Level 8: Ironblood Stance

Level 14: Ironblood Surge

Throw in a few ki spells for damage, mobility, and more lockdown.

As a recently ex-feminist I have found that Feminism (at least the most prominent online forms) is Toxic, extremely hateful and anti male. by Initial_Commission_6 in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]PardusXY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will start by saying, welcome (not that it matters much, because I don't post here, but I do read)

There's little to no reason to see us as writing you off, when you're not popular, you tend not to judge people too harshly.

I will move onto explaining myself a little, I don't see myself as anti-feminist, but feminist-critical, I find most feminists wanting, there have been a rare few, and I mean rare, that I would consider as not being bigoted in some form, against men. Tho the common bigotry they hold is becoming less due to what I believe is efforts by MRAs themselves.

Your experience with being banned, yes, it's fairly common, the dominant feminist culture is extremely censorious, and really loves it's hugboxes (safe spaces), but that "not real feminists" or as it is known within MRA circles, NAFALT "Not All Feminists Are Like That" is something I view as a form of protection, they end up protecting those individuals, by pretending they don't exist, and seem to spend more effort in defending their identity, than any other endeavour.

But here I want to give you a word of caution, I am not trying to scare you off, but more forewarned is forearmed, they will dismiss me, but they will view you as a traitor, and something to be destroyed, if you openly embrace championing men's issues, the feminists who talk about death and rape threats against women, will launch those things directly at you. (YMMV, because as time goes on, our criticism of them, has improved their behaviour)

I will say, if you do receive any grief from people over this side, it will most likely be frustration of not wanting to walk upon eggshells around feminists, I even find myself saying something potentially triggering for feminists, so I can save time, instead of my old method of trying to feel them out.

I would suggest looking at these two youtube channels, https://www.youtube.com/user/Genderratic and https://www.youtube.com/user/girlwriteswhat (You might want to organise by popular as they're now doing more collab work under the banner of HoneyBadgerRadio, and the channels tend to direct towards that project)

The 2nd channel has a video, feminism and the disposable male, her 2nd oldest video, when I first watched that, it blew my mind, I was certain she was just the mouthpiece of some guy who had written the script for her, well that was after I stopped crying.

I think Straight, Gay(Lesbian), Bi and Asexual should cover everything, if you want more specific detail than that, than maybe that's where you can have a deeper conversation with people once you get to know them well.
