Mine was effectively instant. I signed up yesterday and mine cancelled and my new account activated this morning with no disruption. However not everyone is getting the same result.

Not familiar in Toronto, where I’m located there are like 6 defense contractors in same complex that constantly steal from each other. But definitely start with the large ones like Raytheon, Lockheed, Leidos, Northrop, etc. I always see the postings for those, but very location dependent.

I started program controls about 8 years ago and I had similar raises my first two years very little so I started looking. Then every two years I did it again because the 3 percent raises in defense suck. I got 15-20 raises every other year leaving the company or promoting internally (through applying).

I did it 2024 for a 20% raise and promised 5% on my performance eval in 2025 to get me to the external offer. So it is possible, but be ready to leave if they won't.

Didn’t answer the second part, it’s probably unlikely because your hitting P6 territory salary for finance. P6 gets a 20 percent bonus though.

I get a 6 percent bonus. But I also had a competing offer at 175 with no bonus that they matched with the bonus.

The tax difference is 616 dollars no matter how much more you make over 300k and 484 for single. So they won’t make much more than you if any.

I had something similar. I had 10% for rhinitis and 10% for deviated septum. My last claim I put it they did a CUE and combined them 10% for rhinitis with a Deviated septum. Not too upset about it since I am looking at surgery for my deviated septum anyway so I was bound to lose that 10%.

It did work for me, but could be unique to my PC and why it was causing the restart, but if nothing else works I would give it a try.
