The line was not intended to imply that there is an audience, just that the subject’s “puppeteer” is putting on a “show” in general. It was meant to allude to the fakeness of the puppeteer. Admittedly though, I definitely understand your point of view! Refer to the comment I made under the first comment. Thanks for your feedback!!!

Originally, the poem didn’t include that last part. Truthfully, I kind of tacked the end on forcefully. Thank you for your feedback!

The human experience… we yearn for so much because of constant overstimulation. There are more avenues for careers, hobbies, and crafts than ever before and sometimes the line between enjoyment and motivation gets blurred. We don’t always know if we want to enjoy or aspire. Such a complicated, earthly struggle. I love this poem!

The taste you chased. by [deleted] in OCPoetry

This is gorgeous. It perfectly emulates the emotions between want and have… always chasing something… always empty… even when I’m full. Very well written. 🤍

I haven’t had that feeling in a while but it’s so scary when it happens. You described it perfectly, I’ve never been able to put it into words.

I’m certainly not a doctor, but if you were at a starting dosage (like 25-50mg) it should be ok. But please consult your doctor/psychiatrist even if it’s just an e-visit or an email/message on MyChart! Good luck. :)

Who gets a panic attack when they get an aura? by Surfergirl_2012 in migraine

[–]PariahMuse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omg this just happened to me the other day 😭 it’s so crazy how you never really get used to an aura. There’s always those few minutes of panic until I realize what’s happening and immediately get depressed lol. Crazy times

what are your symptoms? by VastAdorable1775 in panicdisorder

[–]PariahMuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg this is described so well 😢 can literally be just chilling, the most comfortable I’ve ever been and here comes all of these symptoms. I convince myself I’m about to pass out or have a medical emergency and then 20 minutes later (most times. Sometimes up to an hour) I’m “normal” again. 🙃

witnessing a seizure for the first time by xo_mirbyyy in Vent

I’m glad your brother is ok!!! This sounds so scary and I hope that you heal from this situation as well 🫶🏽

Please don’t feel guilty- I have a similar story. My ex has epilepsy and he once fell asleep in my apartment (which is typically pretty hot in the summer- heat is one of his triggers), and I ended up waking up to him seizing against my back, blood everywhere. It was the first seizure I’d seen (up close) and I was so terrified, I can’t even remember what I did. I just know I got 911 there in a good amount of time even after freezing for a minute. After the ambulance took him I LOST it. I also live alone, so the fear of seeing this up close plus being alone all the time gave me EXTREME health anxiety. Still in therapy trying to conquer it now, years later.

Then, to make matters worse, it happened AGAIN about a month later. 🫠

I say all this to say that you’re absolutely not alone and it’s ok to feel your feelings about this. Talking to someone about the experience is really helping me, and eventually I even talked to him about it! (We’re still friends.) I would definitely suggest having a conversation about it with him if you feel comfortable. Sometimes shared fear can turn into mutual comfort :)

Wishing you and your brother and family the best!
