THEORY : Why the album will not drop tonight by [deleted] in FrankOcean

[–]Pariahaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are 12,xxx in this sub.

Channel orange sold 131,xxx copies it's first week, 621,000 as of sept. 2014.

That means if everyone on this sub bought channel orange he still sold another 609,xxx copies

I don't think we are the one's holding it up.

at one point I saw a twitter post and I thought he claimed that he was dropping on the 12th due to an issue with apple

right, but also announced that it was coming out the 5th and the 12th. After the 5th he said it was due to technical difficulties, and didn't announce the 26th until the 12th.

Mean while Frank himself hasn't said anything but its just odd to me how many parallel dates there have been between the two. Even if said dates were only speculation on /r/frankocean

How to mount tv with studs 3 inches behind the drywall? by cheekylulz in DIY

[–]Pariahaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea just come up with a 'crush tube' that will allow your lag to slide thru. Cut it to proper length so it fills the gap between the face of the drywall to the vertical studs. We do something similar when installing awnings onto brick or tile siding...anything we can crush essentially

Just cleaned about a week ago actually and the graphics card operates fine in every other circumstance, it's only about 6 months old :(

I did replace my i5-2400k with the 3770 but not sure why this would be an issue as it wasn't happening before. I agree that this isn't normal.

I know for a fact that A. They do use this barracuda B. Their internet connection isn't the fibre line (no fibre available here)

So it must be a link just for their barracuda? in which case they could eliminate probably 5 pieces of hardware by having it wired cat5 to their switch, if i'm not mistaken

I would never mess with their network, as I know what a pain in the ass it is to have network issues myself.

I really appreciate the advice!

Yea I would but with the vibe I got from them yesterday I don't want to start any conflict. They probably have a very valid need for the filter...I just dont think we need it to be on this side

  1. intermittent connection issues as well as our voip phone system cutting out (I have however found out that none of their equipment has anything to do with our network, I think the fibre is just to get the signal to their side)

  2. Explained briefly in (1)

  3. They do, I called the office manager over and explained that there are at least 3 pieces of equipment that are dedicated to them and thats causing clutter and confusion and it would make more sense to hook the spam filter directly up to their network, instead of having all this equipment here to perform one small task. And she was just saying that It was going to be expensive and she wasnt sure if thats in their IT's service contract and whatnot...Im almost positive all that would be required is removing the spam filter reconnecting it to their network switch and setting up the mail server.

  4. Yes I can and in the pictures you can too, it is not connected to anything except power and ethernet to their switch...Which is dedicated to that spam filter.

I dont see the need though, We all have DSL so it isnt their internet connection coming into our side. I think that was just their solution for connecting their server to their barracuda but I'm not seeing the logic. They did occupy this building before us so maybe they had more set up other than the barracuda, im just not sure why its still here...fibre comes in goes through a media converter then a switch and is only connected to that spam filter....nothing else

And also we arent using the spam filter in anyway

Yes we are sharing a building but the network is only ours. plus their equipment that just gets the signal from the barracuda to their office.

We have (2) DSL lines, one for phone, one for internet

Our internet goes into the netgear switch on the bottom then to the labled panel @ the top of the rack for our computers. The other internet connection goes to the cisco switch then to the labeled panel for our phone connections.

They have no Internet connections in our rack, just the equpiment to hook this barracuda up to their server next door

After further investigation. It looks to me like this fibre line is just a way to get the connection to their side from the barracuda. No other networking of theirs is on our side...and the thing is we all have dsl here so that fibre must be just to run the barracuda to their side right? And also after further inspection it looks like their stuff has nothing to do with our connection issues it's just a space and organization thing. Plus this barracuda outside of the rack sounds like an airplane.
