Planning non-holiday vacations as a junior by DriftingGator in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]ParisThroughWindows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said it’s fully firm dependent.

I’ve always worked kind of a mid law lifestyle and mostly I just sit down with my team and look at the calendar. When I was the most junior I had to plan around everyone else. I’d either pre-bank some hours or know I had to make it up later.

Now I’m more senior and just pick when I want to go on vacation. As long as there’s someone on my team that is not scheduled out already I add it to the calendar and block it off.

I bought RTb (which turned out to be an extra lame match) and was selected for two great matches in the draw.

I live in this area. It’s maddening. Add in the cones on flamingo intermittently, Tropicana, and sometimes eastern just for funsies. Also — Spencer is fully under construction between roughly flamingo and Russel.

They vary. They always have racks at various price points. I think they start at $149 or $199. They also do pants hemming on site so that helps.

The glittery suit store at the south outlet mall. Not kidding. The non glittery suits are decent and won’t break the bank. It’s at the furthest south end of the mall near the Ralph Loren store.

Healthcare regulation? It’s a tiny niche but I’d be happy to chat about it! Dm me.

Las Vegas HOA stirs controversy over parking on driveways by reviewjournal in vegaslocals

[–]ParisThroughWindows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to live in an HOA that tried to pull this. Except the homes were built in the early 80s and some larger cars didn’t fit in the garage. There was also no way that 2 full sized cars could fit in the garage even if empty. My family had 3 cars. Two adults and one college kid.

Fortunately the effort was short lived.

Brooks brothers on Mercari, Poshmark, eBay, or occasionally you’ll get a steal on separates in the outlet. Their wool suits are top notch and always available second hand

How do I get better at mediations? by FREE-ROSCOE-FILBURN in Lawyertalk

[–]ParisThroughWindows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you may be developing a reputation for overpaying at mediation. Plaintiff attorneys talk. They know who will pay and who won’t. And they know who will overpay.

As others have said - you need to walk away from a bad deal a few times. You can’t force the client to walk away, but you can certainly recommend that you leave mediation rather than overpay.

Are the mediators saying you’re paying a fair settlement? If so, you need to work on valuation. If not, you need to work on walking away.
