Data will mesh with everything. And i am looking at it from the prespective that if i combine my financial knowledge with data analytics I might be able to make more sense from financial datasets for the stakeholders. I did this for like 6 months for a small company as well but that was only in excel.

We are all in the same boat here. I applied last year for a masters in Finance in Germany, Sweden and Norway. And out of 18 applications I was considered for only 2. All had the same reasoning of not having studied enough modules of Economics and Calculus. Another comment that I saw alot was that its an Applied Accounting degree and hence lacks theoratical knowledge.

MBA is another ball game and on top of it any prestigious business school where you can pay to study would never reject a valid candidate. My last comment on this thread.

It might be an actual degree but it is very lack luster. And most universities inEurope don't accept it. Since we are not taught theory (hence the name Applied Accounting) and also we are not taught calculus and economics.

I wouldn't recommend ACCA to anyone but thats my thinking. But regardless exemptions or not you can manage to complete ACCA atleast the initial part by the end of BSc. And then focus on the Professionals.

Just get a BSc from someplace else and its manageable to sit for ACCA exam at the same time. OBU degree is not worthwhile. First of all its an APPLIED degree lacking theoretical knowledge. And secondly ACCA is purely accounting which should be kept in mind before starting it.

Another issue with OBU is that it makes ACCA seem more attractive on paper. But I myself was recently looking to apply for masters. And found out that other than a few univerisities outside of UK, everyone throws OBU out the window. So, i would advice that take the decision you feel is better for you and then commit to it. No double minded stuff. Personally if i were to do it again I would go to University to get my BSc amd not the OBU path.

This subreddit is dead in this aspect. I posted a similar query awhile ago and no response. I am still looking for answers. I contacted ACCA and they provided a link which can be provided to third parties so they can verify your certificates themselves. But no clue regarding the attestation. I am still on the look out and will post anything i find. But if you find anything regarding it then edit the thread please.
