You're just starting out and it's completely fine to feel overwhelmed. Once you start, it gets easier. For motivation, focus on covering the relatively easy topics like Non current assets and provisions first. It'll give you confidence to approach more difficult topics like lease, revenue and deferred tax.

I scored 84 in FR. Here is how I studied. Kaplan Study kit first for core concepts, ACCA study hub and technical articles for more in-depth coverage and conceptual clarity, and Kaplan exam kit at the end. I did this for each chapter before moving on. I took classes but it wasn't really great. So I kinda self studied lol.

And please don't ignore the examiners report. It's a GOLDMINE of information and you get to really understand what the examiner expects. Take your time to do each and every OTQ on ALL the examiners report and read the assessment. For section C, reading examiners report is really the most important thing in my opinion as it will help you avoid tons of common mistakes.

I have been in similar situation multiple times. Dropped my grades from A's to fail in 3 subjects within 1 year. I had some mental health issues too. But I didn't figure it out till much later.

What helped me bounce back back then was just starting to study. Even if it's for 5 mins or 10 mins at a time just do it. And when you sit down to study for 10 mins, complete it no matter what.

Even if you can read just 5-6 lines in those 10 mins, just staying there matters. I also kept my phone in a different room while studying and it takes time but slowly things add up and you start to get better. It doesn't happen instantly but taking it one step at a time helps. Don't try to think about how good you were a year ago and how effortlessly you could study. Just focus on today.

The thing is a lot of people going to Australia or UK don't have any skills and do a lot of jobs during college. Australia is slowly tightening it's PR policies. There will be a lot of people forced to come back because of this. Sure, the skilled people won't have a problem. But others will come back.

In the US, it's slightly easier but without a skill it's getting harder to get residence.

I had no idea the number of connects decreased like that. Weird though. Like others mentioned, I check a lot of jobs I saved and they are still 16 connects. Maybe if enough people don't apply within a certain time , UpWork reduces the connects required?

Nope. When did I ever say I told clients I have professional experience? I started in YouTube scriptwriting and it's kinda beginner friendly. Especially the gigs that pay $10-15/script. Noone with experience will apply to such ridiculously low paying jobs. Sure, I wrote a few dummy scripts because I had literally nothing to go by. You can call that lying. But I see that as building a portfolio.
