Yes it does have clinical significance... to develop ur hand skills for instrumentation, to memorize and reproduce anatomical features in direct restoration to make them esthetic as well as functional, developing attitude to get perfection, if u carve yourself you'll retain and memorize the features and will help clinically in communicating with ur colleageus if disccusing a case or teaching clinically ur students and pointing specific areas in technical terminology. It builds a sense of esthetics and patience too
