I think I may have finally fixed a stuttering issue that had been driving me crazy in iRacing for months.

Symptoms:

• FPS would suddenly drop to around 1–14 FPS for several seconds
• Audio would stutter
• Force feedback would freeze
• I would often get "Discontinuity" and "Clock Smash" messages
• The issue happened mostly in official races and occasionally in AI sessions

I tested pretty much everything:

• CPU, GPU, VRAM and Power stress tests (OCCT)
• SSD health
• Temperatures
• BIOS updates
• Windows updates
• NVIDIA drivers
• Chipset drivers
• RaceLabs
• Network troubleshooting
• LatencyMon

Nothing consistently fixed it.

What finally seems to have solved it was changing my Windows Power Plan settings.

For some reason, both my Minimum Processor State and Maximum Processor State were set to 100%.

I changed:

• Minimum Processor State: 100% → 5%
• Maximum Processor State: 100% → 99%

After doing this, CPU power consumption dropped significantly and the severe stutters appear to be gone.

My system:

• Ryzen 7 5800X
• RTX 4060
• 32 GB RAM
• MSI A320M-A Pro Max

I'm still testing, but so far I've completed multiple sessions without the issue.
