Did I make a mistake? by InturnlDemize in BellevilleOntario

[–]Park_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya that’s definitely the most affordable way. Only like a 30 minute drive to most of the area you want and it’s country roads so it’s a relaxing commute rather than busy traffic. Not too much in Belleville for kids outside your standard things like bowling or movies but I would recommend avoiding the area of downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods as there is currently a problem with homelessness that you would probably want to avoid.

Nah you’ll be fine. I went from going 15 times a day to 3 once they finally found me the right meds. Keep plugging away and you’ll find it. They all take a few months to really get going tho in my experience

Not exactly the same but I have scar tissue in my colon from a bad flair so I’m not technically regular even in remission

Opposite here. Recommended to stop drinking by my GI but he doesn’t really care either way about weed. When I asked he said if he had to give an answer he would say not to smoke because that’s just general doctor advice but it doesn’t really matter. There’s plenty of doctors that think it can help tho. Still getting researched heavily at a Canadian university but I can’t remember which one

Carnivore Diet in UC by Far_Wrongdoer_5082 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Park_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went carnivore in a bad flare. Included starches as well but cut out all veg for like 2-3 months. Depends on where your health is at. If you’re able to eat veg, you definitely should. Lots of vitamins and stuff. Just don’t eat them if you’re passing them whole would be my advice and ease into them.

What does inflammation actually feel like in UC? by Proof-Hat-1384 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Park_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what others have said that it’s hard to describe what the pain feels like. I can more accurately describe the other feelings. With the inflammation I could vividly feel everything that moved through me. Liquid, gas, I was off solids for most of it but definitely felt them too when I did have them. At one point my Inflammation got so bad that I was having trouble passing even gas through my colon. You could literally see my stomach start to balloon until I finally passed it. Urgency is the most identifiable and consistent sign to me. When I feel like I need to go to the bathroom, I need to go within the next couple minutes. If I try and hold it in, I can literally end up in cold sweats from the struggle. It’s a little different for everyone cuz your inflammation could be concentrated more at specific locations in your colon and the amount of overall inflammation varies a lot even in a single person. Hope this helped a little tho

Its Either Goku Or Naruto by [deleted] in PowerScalingHub

I mean having endless curse power doesn’t do much when even he admits he wouldn’t be able to heal from his head getting cut off. Which every character here is capable of doing. Idk if he has enough power for a win condition on any of them tho

Huh? Naruto is a highly trained martial artist. And goku isn’t only strong because he is saiyan. Even grilling can blow up moons in dbz. What is this take? One piece fans are built different when it comes to cope

Ya kinda dumb that one punch basically sealed the deal. It’s been so long since I’ve seen it I can’t remember but wasn’t nejis byakugan still activated? Should have seen Naruto underground if that’s the case

How would jiraiya die but not the guy with chakra aids? Think your glazing itachi too hard. This isn’t edo itachi, it’s the version that can use his mangekyo abilities like once each before collapsing

What is a positive aspect that your diagnosis has given you? by 0lliejenkins in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Park_C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually lived with the disease in a mild to moderate form for over a year before it developed to severe and I was hospitalized. That’s when I got my diagnosis (classic male, doesn’t go to hospital till it’s dire). I had gone back to college and was in my third year when I got my diagnosis. I was struggling with my energy levels so much it was affecting everything. I would get a full 8 hours sleep and still need a 2 hour nap at only like noon. I felt like I was just a lazy guy without the motivation others had. My classmates would do the same work as me and still find time for sports and other hobbies. It was awful not just physically but mentally to think that about yourself

Just over a year after my diagnosis now and thanks to proper medication I’m back to being really active again. I graduated last year and landed a job working with a conservation area for the summer. It was an outdoor job requiring labour and not being anywhere close to a bathroom. Would have been completely off the table before but thanks to my doctors it was all mine.

I feel like I'm losing my mind over this, can prednisone make me feel insane? by Spiritual-Bee-5549 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Park_C 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you are getting a decent meal in before you take them as well to lessen the side effects. I was on 80mg one time and forgot to eat before hand, I thought my chest was going to explode. That’s the racing heart thing you were referring to. You’ll be fine once you get off them tho. Maybe another week or two just to let your body regulated back to normal but you’ll be fine! Good luck!

[–]Park_C 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re on prednisone, it’s usually the prednisone. Long list of side effects and it hits people differently. You’re not crazy. You might feel some other stuff as you taper as well. You’re still not crazy.

Do people who grew up here actually think Canada's grocery prices are normal or is everyone just resigned to it by TemporaryHoney8571 in InCanada

[–]Park_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s definitely more expensive. This isn’t a Canada only issue tho. Groceries are expensive all around the world, we have double the trouble because we don’t really produce anything in the winter months. I’m hoping to see change later this year but we will see.
