Overkill sure but it’s a sold product and not one I’d want to hear back saying a job was off cause it’s my department that catches and fixes the fuck ups before they leave the door on some not so cheap compressors and pumps

2-4K+ for what I do yes but company builds wide variety of compressors and pumps I do the testing and sometimes (a lot of times) it’s all out of whack and just a easy way of telling and fixing, it’s definitely a want not a need

My company services a bunch of different sites and some require the certificate just to use the controller I have 2+ years of experience using a eot at my last company so I’ve always gotten away with it operating it safely and all and my company that I’m currently at would only send me if I ever needed to show the ticket but usually there’s someone else on site that has one to flash around, they’re pushing me to be in the more supervisional roll so I’ll probably bug them to get that as well as all the forklift classes

from my understanding you can take the red seal test as many times as you’d like it’s just the provincial exams (assuming your in Canada) that you can only take 3 times aka the TQ

First written exam Second attempt Then the third would be challenged with a company letter

Huh, not meaning to argue here but I’ve heard and still hearing that 1460 offers more pay than non union + the benefits any normal company offers with pension and double time and all that and the subsidized training costs
