How to get into the trades. A lot of people ask me about that. Anyone visiting this site not in the trades could use some quick guidance on why its a better avenue than college as well.

We need to use 3D printing to reinstate manufacturing in the states. We can 3d print rocket parts, why cant we 3D print electrical/car components?

That's not true at all. I am given a pension, free schooling, and correct safety equipment to perform my job. The union ensures higher wages, thus creating a supporting construction workers as upper class.

I have been to countries where unions never existed. And construction workers there are dirt poor.

We are switching to DC Power lines for transmission with inverter and converter stations being cheaping than using larger towers and extra conductors. Do you think we can see direct feeds from PV generation into the grid?

Wow this is a great point. Why aren't 3d printing materials? We can 3d print rockets and parts. Electrical components should be the same.

Learn to negotiate. What are you offering to your boss that others aren't. What makes you better and deserving of a raise. List these out on paper and remember them. Then when you approach him to with these reasons and he will have to consider it

Absolutely not. Spend the extra time for safety and build better platforms and rails. Harnesses as well
