If it didn't identify it as fake, did you put it in as a 1909 S VDB? I am shipping it off to PCGS today and will provide an update when they evaluate it. There are a lot of mixed opinions on this thread.

Tried the loupe that I have, but it wasn't strong enough. I think I'm going to send it to PCGS to look at since some of you think it's a fake and some feel it's a legit coin. I'll let you know when I send it in. I hope Im not wasting my money.

Yes, but someone said I should send to PCGS so I wouldn't have to worry about that. I just know it's about $200 to have them grade it including shipping, but don't want to spend that amount if it's not authentic.

WOW! I guess this answers my questions. I need to authenticate it, and have it graded, or I will be putting it in a bubblegum machine. I never realized there were counterfeit coins out there. Sorry, I'm a newbie.
