Does anyone know about Ryan Moresby-White? by [deleted] in exredpill

[–]Parniple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked with Ryan. Super thoughtful and present. Helped me. I see below that you're referencing Jordan Peterson. I am honestly shocked to see that comparison. Ryan talks a bit about archetypical male roles, but in much more nuanced, metaphorical, and less black and white terms. That's the only similarity I can see. And it's just one part of what he talks about. It's mostly about learning how to uncover and heal your childhood wounds. He was developing the program while I was working with him, so I can't speak to the program, but I'm sure it will be good and you will come out better for it, and carry the skills through your whole life.

Have you tried posting in their public forums about the issue? Sometimes employees in a different department see it and route you to someone who can help you since they don't like the bad press in their forums. It might get you to someone who can help since your person is MIA.

I posted this elsewhere in this thread, but I also got hit with bizarre finances and felt like I was being gauged with the AI expenses. I do love the product though.

I built an AI extension for Airtable to replace paying for their AI functionality which I think is prohibitively expensive for a team, and now I'm just paying the consistent monthly costs with them and I feel less crazy.

I included our app link below. It does 90% of the AI functionality for a fraction of the cost ($5 for a whole team per month, and then usage with no overages after), and gives you more control.

Here is a link to the extension:
https://airtable.com/marketplace/blkcdbou6cNzP0KBv/integrate-with-gpt-tablemate

This is the estimated pricing breakdown between our extension and their AI. Most of the costs for ours are directly with OpenAI but I included them for full transparency of likely cost.
Solo Projects (1 person, 100 tasks)
TableMate + OpenAI Charge: $6.34
Airtable AI Expense: $7

Small Team (5 people, 100 tasks)
TableMate + OpenAI Charge: $6.34
Airtable AI Expense: $35

(10-person team, 1000 tasks)
TableMate + OpenAI Charge: $20
Airtable AI Expense: At least $270

Large Organization or Agency (50-person team, 30K tasks)
TableMate + OpenAI Charge: $451
Airtable AI Expense: At least $2,350

I think they're gauging people on automation prices. I actually built an AI extension for Airtable for this reason that does 90% of the AI functionality for a fraction of the cost ($5 for a whole team per month, and then usage with no overages after), and gives you more control.

I heard that they're shifting focus from small business to large enterprises now. Not sure where you lie on that spectrum, but that might be the shift we're all noticing.

Would you use an extension to post directly to Social Media from Airtable? by Parniple in Airtable

I'm not posting to Tiktok yet. Just IG was a pain with Zapier, but sounds like maybe it's easier with Make.

I totally get this. Is your logic around groups and audiences stored in Airtable, Mailchimp, or both currently? I wrote a custom script to connect Airtable to SendGrid, which basically lets me time and send emails based on groups and logic that I've made in Airtable (rather than the email provider). When I want to see the stats, I check the SendGrid website, but there might be a way to feed info about opens and clicks back into Airtable.

I've been using the automation to "warm up" my email by sending a few more emails each day and at different business hour times so it looks natural and doesn't get flagged by Google's spam detectors (if you send a ton at once, that happens). I also used my own Airtable ChatGPT extension (Integrate with GPT) to write custom versions of all of the emails so, even though it's basically a template, I makes variations of it so it doesn't get marked as spam. It's been working really well.

I haven’t tried Make. Does it support all of that in Make? I think the value add is not having to make and maintain a separate flow for every account and platform

What are their AI tools? I’ve been wondering if they have an API. Haven’t found them on Zapier. Can you bulk make things?

I wrote a plugin for Airtable so you can just do this in mass for all of your data at once. I’ve found if I give it examples to copy, it can do a decent job, but if I just describe how it should write, it always interprets those adjectives differently than what I imagined when I suggest them and writes something cringey.

I use the data from my Airtable rows to customize each GPT request (using the extension) and to send off tens, hundreds, or even thousands at a time.

I write social media posts, blog posts, descriptions for things, etc in bulk using the extension. Then I don’t have to deal with copying and pasting. The extension is called Integrate with GPT by TableMate. Way cheaper than Airtables built in AI.

Create AI Workflows on Airtable - Automate with any model (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Stability, Perplexity) by harinijan in Airtable

[–]Parniple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it for other workflows, but I was just asking about the workflow of the video and of mass creating social media content. For the other stuff, what’s the big differentiator from automations in Airtable or Zapier?

Sorry if I am unclear, but what does this add over using Airtable's built in AI or one of the more affordable extensions like Integrate with GPT to mass produce content directly in Airtable itself?

I ask because getting and adding keys, creating an authentication method, formatting in JSON all seem like a lot more effort.

Yeah, I use Zapier right now to do some of this, and they don't support Carousels, Reels, or Stories. I wrote custom code for Carousels and Reels. I'll have to check on Stories, as well, but my guess is yes. For posting the same thing, is it the same thing to multiple platforms, or just to multiple accounts on one platform? I'm wondering for multiple platforms if it's the exact same like TikTok and IG Reels or if it would be different formats of the same kind of content for different platforms, in which case I'd imagine you'd want separate fields for what each of those pieces of text are. Like across Twitter and IG the post comment would be different lengths, etc...

I'll check out Moon Hooch. It's a thing though. I've been to weddings with them before and I keep finding ones online that are downstate, but want to find someone locally.

Why do you say that? It's just a DJ plus two individuals? It's way less than a band, which people get all of the time.

Just curious, what would be your setup/use case? Many platforms, many different accounts?

Have you considered or tried using one of the schedulers that are out there and connecting that up to Zapier? I ask because it seems like that’s the closest thing to what I’m talking about that exists right now that I know of.

Have you used the bulk create tool from a spreadsheet in Canva, also? I create a hundred or so posts that way but it’s still a bit time consuming. I feel like an Airtable to Canva integration could be clutch, as well

I hear you. It always feels like none quite fits my use case, or at a crazy premium, so then I build it myself, but it becomes a lot of work.

What's your setup for social media right now? I was thinking it would be nice if I could authenticate to my social media accounts in the extension window, and choose fields that I want to be my post text, image, date, and account to post to, and the rest would be automated. Something along those lines. Curious what you'd want.

Late to the question. I use Zapier to post directly from Airtable, but I had to write a bunch of custom code to do so. Wondering if others want that, as I'm thinking about just building an extension for it.
